I have a iPhone 14 plus but in red and black the battery for me lasts 2 full days the picture quality is phenomenal the brightness is great the reacuring updates are great because it’s adding that extra security which is much needed these days I have had a array of different phones over the years but this is the best yet
After replacing the speakers and microphone once and the battery twice, I’m finally upgrading my iPhone 8+ with a 14+, I hopped on here to see what I need to get ready. I’ll definitely have to try our one of those screen covers, I’ve been getting tempered glass screen covers since I had my 5S.
11 year android user here. I’ve only used budget to fairly mid range android phones for the past 11 years and this time decided to get a premium phone so for a change I went with the 14 Plus. I have to say I absolutely love this phone! Great battery, great camera, great screen size, feels premium & super smooth whilst using it with no lag (btw I got it in midnight 128gb) and honestly the 14 plus seems like the best of both worlds if you don’t wanna go for a pro model but don’t wanna small phone either.
Also I was so worried watching most videos out there saying it’s gonna be tough for someone who is switching from android to IOS but honestly I swear it’s not a big hassle at all! It’s just all in the mind I guess. Ofc there are a few things in androids I would’ve loved to see in the iPhone (like the back button, higher refresh rate, sd card slot etc) but for me personally even after using android for 11 years I didn’t find any issues with the switch at all…so definitely go for the plus model if it is within your means I would say!
Same with me come from a Samsung A52s 5G and can say wasn’t a hassle for me and coming from a 120hz to a 60hz can say my iPhone 14 no lag and a lot smoother to use so I’m really happy with the choose I made

Plus isn’t new, it’s been around since the iPhone 6. They just brought it back, I’ve had the 6 plus and 8 plus and they were great.
I love my iPhone 14. I jumped from the iPhone 8 to the 14 and it feels so good

I think they tried to the mini and it wasn’t successful and went back to the plus because it was a huge hit for the 6 7 8 series IPhone
Size in not the only thing different. You forgot to mention the longer lasting battery of iPhone 14 plus. The battery capacity of the iPhone 14 Plus is 4325 mAh. compared to 3200mAh of the iPhone 14

Thanks! Your review/demo reinforced my thoughts that maybe I do not need to go "bigger" just to get added features since there really is no difference. My osteoarthritic hands have suffered the effects of holding a (small) cellphone so I am leary of going too big but would like bigger than my iPhone7. I am going to a store where I can play around with each before I buy.

@@TechDaily I dabbled with Windows phone for a little while before they scrapped it then went to Android using Motorola's and more recently an Oppo
I would instead tell you to go with maybe a 13 Pro Max instead cause of its better built, telephoto camera, 120Hz display & you also get a physical SIM card. The regular 14 & the Plus both have last years chip unless you care for the useless satellite feature that most of us will never use.
I’m currently on a 14 Pro Max 1TB & yes I love it but it wasn’t that much of a jump from the 13 Pro Max which is 512GB & I currently still own & plan on staying with it for travel reason cause it still has the SIM card tray.
@@Leweise indeed, I did consider that and I do like the green 13 Pro Max, but here in the UK its a struggle to find stock. We haven’t adopted e-SIM yet so we’d still get a physical SIM tray with the 14 as I understand it.
They should have really added 120hz to the Iphone 14 plus and a brighter screen (because its larger) .

iPhone Plus is more of a screen size preference then breaking the bank for all that camera tech option when literally there some of us that just don’t bother utilizing it. More like snap and On to the next pose . Lol

I definitely agree - its all about the screen!
The reason Apple made the plus version is to target the customer that need the big screen but don’t need the fingerprint magnet metal frame and the damn heavy weight on the pro max model, unfortunately they priced the plus wrong and that’s why it isn’t selling at all!
Now personally I have big hands so I've always gone with android phones because of the 6.7in display that doesn't cost an entire MacBook. So I personally believe that plus should replace the mini in my opinion. (Or have both it isn't like apple can't afford it lol)
The Mini was a good entry point for new Apple customers and kid's first phones. It was also nice to have a smaller device option although I wouldn't have bought one (probably the issue). I actually like the Plus because I like you can get the bigger screen without all the extra weight and features. I think people get caught up in the fact the 14 Pro is only $100 more but in reality if you want a bigger screen it's $200 for the Pro Max. If you chose the 14 Pro you didn't want the bigger screen anyways.
My problem isn't with the regular Iphone line but the Pro line. I think it should have more upgrades than the camera, 120hz display and dynamic island. It's a "Pro" phone and it really does nothing more than iPhone. That's what I like about the Pro line of Ipads, with the adoption of true monitor support and stage manager it does things a regular Ipad can't. I would love to see the Pro Iphones take this approach and with Usb-C coming to the phones why not start giving the phones capability to do some of these things.
My iPhone 6 keeps running out of battery. Even when I haven’t used it. So I’m looking at going to the 14, save a few £100s not getting the 15. But I’ll be honest, the only apple product I’ve loved and used so much is the iPad. Laptop and airpods were a waste of money for me.

@@nouraa8188 absolutely love it. was so hesitant, especially with all the negative comments i’ve been seeing. i have no idea why it’s been getting bad reviews. i haven’t charged my phone since sunday night and it’s tuesday afternoon right now. although it’s on 7% i wanted to see how long this actually last. it’s amazing, absolutely amazing. speaker is amazing, screen is beautiful. i love it.

Personally you want to know why people still choose the regular 14 ? From my view even though I have a pro max from what I observed some of it has to with the design itself some prefer the colors and design of the X style design iPhone on front with a notch and it’s not a bad design… also it’s a bit more affordable with giving the same screen size which to some the size is what matters of the screen not the design of the front
It's simple. It's for people who don't want optical zoom, just only normal photos, Safari, music or Netflix, also for gaming and editing in Lr. The main deal is 120Hz and zoom.

I exchanged the 14 for the 14 Plus. What a difference! The Plus gives me approximately 3 and a half hours more of screen time and a huge screen. Happy with my product red 14 Plus!!!

I'm not an Apple fan but I don't think the changes this year have been much less than before it's always been like this with iphones. Even last year the pros had one more GPU core and 2 more gigs of ram. Maybe the displays could be btr tho...

I get that some people would want the largest screen possible on an iPhone… but the price just doesn’t make sense.
It’s just too close in price to the PRO. The 6.1” should’ve taken on the mini’s price. And the PLUS takes on the former 6.1” price.
And the mini needs to return as the next SE model.

My old eyes appreciate the 14 plus. I've stayed away from big phones because they must fit in my front pocket comfortably. It does feel a little clunky in my pocket but it is the only thing in my left front pocket. I got the plus because of my eyes aging.
Do you think it would make sense for Apple to perhaps not release another phone until they make significant changes? I feel like they have lost that X Factor that made us covet a new model, now it just feels like they "upgrade" just because Samsung has something new

I know the video is old, but for anyone comparing in 2024 there are more differences not mentioned when compared to the iphone 13.
- there is an extra GPU core
- the back glass is easier to replace
- it is lighter
