Always something suspicious with blokes who do 1 or 2 year in the regiment then 'leave' ie rtu not many 20 year troopers now. I seen this guy in uniform. I had more campaign medals and I only joined in 04
This man hasn't transformed. He is still a killing machine. It is who he is. He loves who he is, greatly, but only slightly more than he greatly hates himself. A complicated character with a simple outlook

It's amazing to see a guy like Ant do so well after leaving the special forces after everything he went through. Some people who leave special forces, decorated war heroes, end up homeless or worse unfortunately.
dml190....I know , it's so sad to see war hero's unemployed on the streets. They don't deserve it . There's not enough help out there for them . They deserve the best possible treatment. It disgusts me how they're treated . I went somewhere some of these men were sent for so called "help". It wasn't for soldiers , it was for ordinary Jo public. These men were traumatised , and needed specialist care. I told them so too . I felt so bad for them . Not one of those men are alive now. They pressed the self destruct button . It pains me to think about it , they were decent human beings , some turned to drink to cancel out the trauma, and the only other place available to them , was a monthly meeting in a pub. Our society has let them down considerably. If I had the money I would help them , and make sure no middle man syphoned off the profit.

You only truly experience life when you're on a knifes edge. In that moment life becomes so crystal clear and simplified.
You'll never truly appreciate life until you've nearly lost it. It's hard concept for standard civilians to understand, hence why Russell started laughing

I love the way Ant refuses to lie his way out of trouble , for example , when his lawyer told him to say he had PSD, to avoid going to prison .

The Banter between these two just flowed. Russ is a great interviewer. And I'd give my left nut to be 12 years younger and have Ant as a role model. I'd of sprinted to the recruitment centre.
Ant Middleton is a legend simple as that and all his books are fantastic and well worth reading 👍

All men can go to war. Only select few have the physiology to survive the altitude of Everest. And I'm not trying to downplay what he's done in the marines and SBS. I'm ex forces and have highest respect for SF. But anyman can die on Everest, no matter how fit and having done tours of Iraq or Afghan won't help

@Horacio Nelson what I meant was any man has the phisiology to go to war. Only a select few can survive the altitude of everest. If you had ever climbed or been to war instead of watching UA-cam you would have got that

Ant is a beast. So thankful we have modern day gladiators like him, protecting our people. His humor is epic. And....watching him & his buddies on Who Dates Wins and how much the help people come to peace with the shit of their past, is a beautiful thing. Respect.
