    Great first impression the car looks really good can't wait to see the track footage. I run on hard packed clay indoor tracks so my setup will be different once I get the kit. I've been running the 2019 V3R Evo so I'm planning to install the quick access diff first until I'm ready to get the kit.

      The new rear gearbox is awesome. Last weekend I actually built a few diffs with different setups and was able to test them all at the track quickly and easily thanks to the quick-access design.

    Hmmm, a modern buggy that comes with body and wheels and appears to be a quality product is tempting. I need a buggy for high grip tracks as my hb d216 doesn’t handle them so well (diff issues). Ausrab industries is the distributor in Australia, hopefully they stay on top of parts support.

      The PR buggies are certainly the most under-rated racing cars. They are refined, robust and spares are typically very well-priced. The only question is whether you have a source for parts support where you are at. :)

      Did you end up getting the PR buggy and if so, how's your experience been? I'm intrigued by PR but not so fond of Ausrab Industries after having a bad experience with them.

    Old school body looks great lol. I am watching this video because I am trying to learn more about pr I run 2wd 4wd buggy and sct and am thinking of changing over to there stuff for all of it. What is your opinion on there products now that you run it for awhile? Are you happy with the overall of there products? Thanks in advance

      Hey there, thanks for the kind comment on my old school body. lol! :)
      In terms of performance, build and quality I have no complaints whatsoever with PR products. I've had different versions of their buggies and can honestly say they have always had a commitment to improving their cars - the latest versions of their 2WD and 4WD are really the result of years of refinement. The cars are extremely durable and also have proven themselves on the track many times.
      The cars are very adjustable and IMO have all the necessary adjustments for racing, BUT compared to some of the more established brands they may lack some of the more obscure setting options.
      However, depending on where you are located, I have heard that some racers have had challenges with local distributors and that can result in issues getting parts - so you may want to ensure you have a reliable source to turn to if you are going to race regularly.
      Finally, the V4 pricing makes it one of the most affordable racing platforms on the market. Hopefully the info here helps you make a decision.

      @@marklim7851 Hey thanks for the info and the quick response. I think you may have sold me a buggy at the price I'm gonna buy 1 and see how it goes. All my shopping for parts is online only hobbystore near me is on the traxxas train and that's pretty much it. I am racing all kyosho right now only problem is that it's all old and really hard to find parts and there new stuff is to high. Thanks again and good luck racing

    Would you recommend to use ball bearings and slipper delete?

    • @marklim7851
      @marklim7851  8 місяців тому

      Thanks for the comment. The car comes with ball bearings in the kit. As for a slipper eliminator I think that would be best for stock 17.5 racing to reduce rotating mass. PR does sell one.

      @@marklim7851 it does not come with ball bearings. Ball bearings is an option parts for 60USD. But thanks!

    How would you compare this overall quality wise to major companies?

    • @marklim7851
      @marklim7851  Рік тому

      I've found the fit, finish and durability to be as good, if not better than the top brands in the market. Actually, the durability ranks among the top. Where it may be lacking as a smaller brand is the trackside setup knowledge since there may not be as many people running it.
      I've seen that PR also continues to refine its cars so they are committed to producing performance buggies.

    That's a weird looking body

      lol yes, it sure is. I must admit I'm a fan of some really unusual bodies. I like the cab of this body that seems inspired by some of the US Stealth fighters - but I can see why this may a case of 'love it or hate it'. :)
