Dan Good...it was not really good, it was terrible, it was really bad, it wasn't even that creative.
But his energy and enthusiasm made it every bit as entertaining, I think that's what everyone found so engaging. I do wish he was a good singer because not every artist out there can rely solely on their enthusiasm and their lyrics like he did - and it's not like his lyrics were a revelation or even varied from the dozens of other weekend/party songs. That can be hard to do. Those two elements alone almost, in my opinion, made him a star which I think is saying a hell of a lot considering his voice lol but I still really liked the guy, it was still really entertaining.I truly hope he doesn't look back at this with regret because he should be really proud of that ability to be so engaging and be proud that he honestly did put 100% into his audition - he took the audition seriously, he even brought his own fog machine! I'm sorry but no one can tell the guy he didn't give it everything when he brings his own fog machine. That's commitment lmao

All I could think of is the movie Fifth Element with the opera singer from Croatia.
YES!!! That's what it was, Fifth Element. It was bugging me, it reminded me of a movie but I just couldn't place it - Fifth Element. Thinking about it now though it's kind of interesting, the movie takes place in the future and when I first saw it I thought "interesting, they still have Opera in the future...bit weirder but still strangely Opera. What would actually tweak it into something like this though?" Question answered. This attempted hybrid of pop and opera I can see being the evolutionary element. I will never watch that scene the same way again lol

It's so nice to see how much these kinds of shows have changed since American Idol paved the way. Everyone kind of used to get off on being super harsh and mean to people who auditioned badly, and everyone loved to laugh at and make fun of them. It's refreshing to see that humanity has since taken over and even the worst auditions still garner support, applause, and positivity from the judges and audience. That's awesome.

She wasn’t too bad, she was at least in the correct tone, it’s just that this judges don’t know anything about opera. They are just persons that are looking for the next One Direction. Opera is too devalued.
That’s why in America’s Got Talent 2016, Laura Bretan didn’t win but Grace VanderWaal did win

I speak from experience that Nicole is literally one of the sweetest and most genuine people I’ve ever met. She was staying in the same hotel as my friend and I when we were on vacation. We ran into her pretty late heading back to our rooms. I could tell she was tired so I didn’t want to bother her, but the girl I was traveling with said “my friend is your biggest fan” so she thanked us for the compliment, and talked for a minute and I said I wish I had something with me to get an autograph. So she actually volunteered to walk with us back to our room so I could run in and find something to sign. She signed it and let us take a couple pictures with her. She never complained or anything about us bothering her, and she went out of her way to do something kind for us. She never treated us like she thought she was better than us like a lot of celebs do. Actually, when she spoke to us she was completely on our level, and thanked us for supporting her and told us to have a goodnight and everything. She’s just extremely genuine and down to earth and that’s so rare even for regular people, but especially for celebrities.
