@Calamity Cain Yeah, because all people that don't want to be a corporate leader happen to be homeless.

@@TestTubeGirl I think what he meant is that homeless people dream of being able to hold down a job, even a hard labor job like being a roofer or a grounds keeper, where as the people who have a hard labor job, which includes myself btw, might dream of having a white collar job, or owning their own small business which is actually a dream of mine

Jobs aren’t lower status merely because they’re seen that way, they’re lower status because they’re less complex and more are capable or potentially capable of doing those jobs. They’re seen that way for a reason, the reason wouldn’t just go away.

I mean come to think of it Pat might be onto something. Of course he is still dreaming kinda small but there would be some merits to being second in command. You get access to many of the same benefits and resources as the main guy minus all the attention. If you're a villain that means less chance of being marked for death and if it's celebrity business we're talking about then you actually attain a degree of privacy unlike the main star.

@YesitsKendra Being a professional henchman myself I can tell you that its great. During the monthly firefight or when everyone is running to attack the hero make sure that nobody is looking and just lie down and start thinking about where to get a new job. The boss never counts the bodies; they're just thrown in a mass grave. Also, make sure that nobody you work with remembers your name and its less likely that they'll miss you afterwards.
