Why are so many idiots telling this guy that he’s wrong ? It doesn’t matter if he puts all the low budget British “ Carry On” series of comedy movies as his favourite, they would be HIS favourite. Unbelievable selfishness.
Awwww I really enjoyed this vid mate. It’s always lovely seeing the films that mean the most to an individual - it’s a reflection of the person themselves and there was such an eclectic mix in here. I know from experience how difficult it is to do a top 100. I mean I only did the decade that just passed so I can only imagine how much tougher it is when you’re looking at the entire history of cinema. 🎥 You’ve given me a bunch of films to add to my list 😁 But I was so happy to see Mommy come so high. As well as some of my favies; Whiplash, Airplane!, Fight Club, The Avengers, American beauty, The Cabin in the Woods, Raiders of the Lost Ark, parasite and the dark knight. And now I know your fav Toy Story movie too ☺️ cracking vid, I feel like I know you even better now ☺️ xx
@@AaronattheMovies hahaha thats understandable, when you think about it, 100 movies is a drop in the bucket. So having to pick only 100 is quite the challenge. And undoubtedly in 10 years time your top 100 will be a bit different. 😊
This is an underrated video. The editing is epic. Nice job. 10. X-men: Days of Future Past 9. Zodiac 8. No Country for Old Men 7. Oceans Eleven 6. Saving Private Ryan 5. Fight Club 4. Coco 3. Jurassic Park 2. Inglorious Basterds 1. The Good the Bad and the Ugly
I knew this was going to be a film compilation to savour when the first three came up. A Matter of Life and Death, followed by Stalker and Rebel Without A Cause had me gripped. I am glad the list shot off into diverse territory with The Italian Job, or we would be facing each other as doubles. Great to see love for LA Confidential and Paris, Texas. Satisfying to see Alien in the top spot. Interesting that there is no Godfather, Apocalypse Now or Citizen Kane. I must look out Burning, Yi Yi and Her
Interesting selections. I'll just give a top 15 but do have a record of my top 300: 15 Jaws 1975 14 Ruthless People 1986 13 Dirty Harry 1971 12 Carry On Abroad 1972 11 Final Destination 2 2003 10 Halloween Kills 2021 9 High Anxiety 1977 8 A Christmas Carol 2000 7 Rear Window 1954 6 Beverly Hills Cop 1984 5 Scream 1996 4 A Fish Called Wanda 1988 3 Damien: Omen 2 1978 2 Die Hard 1988 1 Halloween 1978
I've made several of these videos, but I'm always looking for ways to improve them. How did you decide on which clips to choose, and how did you find them if they couldn't be found on UA-cam or wherever you mainly got them? Fantastic list and video
Nice list. Burning is a good movie and one of my top 50. Before Sunrise is in my top 5 too. I still need to see After Life - Koreeda is one of my favorite directors. His movie ‘I Wish’ is my #1 all time.

Glad to see some love for Son of Saul. Amazing film. You had my favourite film from the Noughties - Donnie Darko and my favourite from the 2010s - Whiplash. My favourite from the 90s was Delicatessen - have you seen it? I notice Amelie was in your list so you're aware of the director. Check Delicatessen out if you can. It's a wonderfully inventive black comedy.
Same problem I have over and over again with people under 40: a large number of movies from the last 20 or 30 years, but practically none from the 30s or 40s. Being too young to have not seen many classics when they were released is not an excuse.
@davedalton1273 Right, I don't usually get this defensive, but if you actually watched the video you'll see I have included films from every decade from 1930s to now. M (1931), A Matter of Life and Death (1946), Seven Samurai (1954), Rear Window (1954) etc. There are plenty of films in the list pre-1990s/80s

None of these lists has any movies before 1975. The exposure to some of the best movies is very limited. And very few, if any, foreign films. The people giving lists or commenting seem to have no interest in film history. When you leave out Citizen Kane or GWTW or to Kill a Mockingbird or Top Hat or Singing' in the Rain it shows very knowledge of 125 years of film history.
You had Alien at your #1 spot, however you did not have Aliens, Alien 3, Alien: Resurrection, Alien vs. Predator, or AVP: Requiem ANYWHERE in your list? Why is this?
This is Aaron’s list, NOT yours. You should post your list and you can put as many Alien movies on as you like, nobody has the right to tell you, that you’re wrong. And you’ve no right to tell him that he’s wrong, just because he doesn’t agree with your opinion.
@@oldbutbeautiful I have JUST as much a right to voice my opinion on his list as he has to make one in the first place. If you make a list of the greatest movies, you should absolutely expect people to disagree with it. No one is entitled to not have to face any criticism by others. And I do NOT appreciate you singling me out because of what I have criticized about his personal tastes. Also, I’m being 100% facetious. Alien is a classic and all of its sequels are trash :)
Your taste is awful but it is your taste. Your number one is great. I skipped through your list but I did not see Bagdad Cafe. It is never on top 100 lists but should be. I think it will be your cup or tea.
Am I the only one that saw The Shawshank Redemption at #72 and immediately shunned this list? Ha. It's all a matter of personal opinion, but whoa. The Hurt Locker came shortly after. Great movie, but better than Shawshank? Yikes. :P
Very, very unusual mix of auteur films and mainstream factory-processed popcorn flicks. I don't think I've ever seen a list quite like it.

Hi! I was just wondering, how did you watch Onna Gokuakucho. I did some research on it and I can’t seem to find it anywhere
This is an awesome list
Pretty cool list I approve of 85 percent of these movies
Glad you showed Mommy some love, more people need to watch that film 🍿
Why are so many idiots telling this guy that he’s wrong ? It doesn’t matter if he puts all the low budget British “ Carry On” series of comedy movies as his favourite, they would be HIS favourite. Unbelievable selfishness.
Great list, thanks!
You’ve given me a bunch of films to add to my list 😁 But I was so happy to see Mommy come so high.
Thanks Luke, that means a lot 🙂 yeah was very hard list to compile, so many that didn't make the cut but I'm happy with the ones that made it 😄
@@AaronattheMovies hahaha thats understandable, when you think about it, 100 movies is a drop in the bucket. So having to pick only 100 is quite the challenge. And undoubtedly in 10 years time your top 100 will be a bit different. 😊
Beautifully put together. 👍
This is a pretty good list
This is an underrated video. The editing is epic. Nice job.
10. X-men: Days of Future Past
9. Zodiac
8. No Country for Old Men

There are 2 films you must see , 1. King of hearts 2. Paperhouse. You would like both of these.
AS A MOVIE LOVER THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO
NOT ALL OF MY FAVOURITE MOVIES WERE HERE BUT A GTEAT SELECTION ALL THE SAME
WELL DONE 👏👏👏👏👍
I knew this was going to be a film compilation to savour when the first three came up. A Matter of Life and Death, followed by Stalker and Rebel Without A Cause had me gripped. I am glad the list shot off into diverse territory with The Italian Job, or we would be facing each other as doubles. Great to see love for LA Confidential and Paris, Texas. Satisfying to see Alien in the top spot. Interesting that there is no Godfather, Apocalypse Now or Citizen Kane. I must look out Burning, Yi Yi and Her
Interesting selections. I'll just give a top 15 but do have a record of my top 300:
15 Jaws 1975
14 Ruthless People 1986
13 Dirty Harry 1971
12 Carry On Abroad 1972
11 Final Destination 2 2003
10 Halloween Kills 2021
9 High Anxiety 1977
8 A Christmas Carol 2000
7 Rear Window 1954
6 Beverly Hills Cop 1984
5 Scream 1996
4 A Fish Called Wanda 1988
3 Damien: Omen 2 1978
2 Die Hard 1988
1 Halloween 1978
Halloween at 1 is a great choice

Ich mache nämlich zur Zeit auf Letterboxd eine Umfrage, bei der möglichst viele Filmfreunde ihre Top 250 Listen abgeben sollen. Bisher haben schon 139 Leute mitgemacht. Some great choices, some surprising omissions
I've made several of these videos, but I'm always looking for ways to improve them. How did you decide on which clips to choose, and how did you find them if they couldn't be found on UA-cam or wherever you mainly got them? Fantastic list and video

You have an epic list. We appreciate many of the same movies. I’m surprised The Book of Life isn’t on here.
Why don’t you just post your list
Thank you.
It would have been worthwhile had you announced the names of the films for those of us who listen and don't watch, but that's cool.

Aliens probably should’ve been but idk about the rest
I mean everyone has a different opionion and that is ok! I think i agree that original alien is miles above the rest
