Interesting results, I've never seen a fusion bullet fragment, especially being a bonded bullet. Would like to have seen the pieces. Thanks for the test, both are very good choices, I'd go with the more accurate one.
Appreciate the demo. I have been loading, shooting & hunting ELDX in 7mm Mag. Very, very pleased with results. Fusion/Gold Dot bullets are very good, well constructed bullets.
There is not possible to say which one is better. Both bullets have pros and cons and both of them are designed for particular purpose. Everyone has to try it out and find the sweet spot, it means harmonization of all factors (caliber, barrel lenght, twist rate, usuall distance, type of game). Both bullets are damn good for sure. The ELD-X is originally sport bullet re-designed for hunting purposes, Fusion was designed as a hunting bullet right from the beginning. Here in the old country we have great results with both of them...
Yep. The Fusion hit the wood that the blocks were sitting on before deflecting upwards into first one. I've never had a Fusion fragment even after smashing through bone!
Next milk jugs test at hunting ranges I have not used eldx but i can tell that the fusion is a tough bullet and they go deep I had to test them at 100 yards on wet paper to stop them for recovery! Great vid!
I’d be curious which one starts to expand sooner. For example, shooting a whitetail broadside is the ELDX going to punch straight through before expanding much and needs a thicker or tougher game (elk for example) or is the Fusion fragmenting almost immediately? Or is it the exact opposite. That type of performance metric for the bullets interests me
Samething for me,i have .308 savage 10-fcpk,with a scope nightforce shv 5-20x56 force plex it,s hard to beat i reload and at 100 yard .200 in to .500 in depend the bullets and loads.
Y’all got a LONG WAYS TO GO TO CATCH BARNES. THE NUMBER ONE !!!

I was puzzled too by Fusions performance, they are usually good bullets. Thank you for sharing!

Nice video! I enjoy going to that range!
Hope to see you there one of these days if you’re still in the valley. I live in Brownsville.
Nice to hear from someone who lives in the valley, Vinson’s is a great place with friendly people. Hope to see you around!
One of these days!
The fusion came apart cuz it hit the table. The fusion will hold together 100percent better on game Its bonded
That’s quite possible, thank you for sharing.

Good video. Well done
What was the shooting distance to the blocks?
50 yards, thank you for the kind words.

I’ll try a broadside view and use the slow motion feature for next time, thank you for commenting!
