Then, go to the place where Phantump is and make sure the scrappy pangoro knows false swipe and entrainment, and after 30 SOS calls, make sure you have leppa berries or Ethers, PP Restore roto powers work to, but once you have those. Go ahead and start SOS battling (again, you might get a shiny, or maybe a shiny harvest!!). And once you get it, catch it. This helped me on many shinies and sometimes a 700 encounter long Larvitar (I have it but I still hate its guts for taking so long). And I Hope this helps you on further shinies!!
I would personally recommend Exeggutor over Trevanant, because a Harvest Exeggcute is technically easier to get thanks to the Virtual Console games. While it doesn’t have Trick, it DOES have Bestow, which does the same thing basically, and it also gets Hypnosis. I used it in both my Palkia and my Kyurem hunts to great success. I even used one in my BDSP hunt for Giratina.
Oh man, Suicune is such a sick shiny! Hunted it myself in dynamax adventures, and I do *not* recommend doing it solo like I did for ages. If you must though, and get access to Contrary Tsareena, she and her Leaf Storms are OP. Save all of them for Suicune, and get a leppa berry if available. Otherwise, try to go for physical attackers. Also, at all costs, *avoid* Swoobat!! NPCs *love* using simple beam, which is a very good way to be utterly trounced by Suicune in mere moments :')

@@EternalRadiant Honestly it does add in a little sense of suspense and tension when you're at the risk of failing to catch a shiny legendary. I'm a coward to lose them so I always bring one just to be safe.
watching you reset in USUM makes me want to finish the game, gen7 has been my most hated play throughs, i only did 1 run on og moon, poipole and sylvally are very tempting for me also that 11 runs were lucky and so nice, got mine in 3 runs when i did the hunt
