I had a Basenji that lived a very healthy life for 17 years. I only did her puppy DHPP at 12 and 16 weeks. Did titers every three to five years and she never needed another shot. She never was sick, no allergies, no behavior problems, acted like a puppy until about two weeks before she passed.
I ve got 6 dogs and none of them have any vaccines, they did when they were young but then stopped once they had a couple. None of them are ill, don't need to go vets and 4 of them are getting into their senior years ♥️
I appreciate when any professional is not only constantly learning to improve; but to admit that they were wrong at one point. We are imperfect human beings who should always strive to learn more and admit when we are wrong. ❤
yeah, he can say this stuff because he doesn't work for a corporation! That's one of the reasons I don't trust corporate vet's anymore.
My dogs lived to 20, and two at 19. I made sure they had their puppy vaccinations and never gave them another again. Fed them raw food diets and cooked for them as well.
What about rabies? Mine is 15. I have issues with her groomers(have to be fully vaccinated) and unfortunately I'm unable to wash her myself.

He’s not advocating against vaccines, just that they need to be administered differently than previously thought. Vaccinations are important. These diseases are highly contagious and lethal. This research is NOT against vaccine and is to actually make them more efficient.

Agree. And me as a human, I don't get the flu shot anymore. Stopped around 15 years ago and I get way less colds/flu than when I got it.
The shots they get as puppies are good forever i have been told this by several older vets who are not on the lets make money over treating our dog train. One and done. If your vet wants it every 3 yrs they are looking for money. Tell them NOOO

I have a happy 16 yr old Icelandic Sheepdog. Only received first vaccine from breeder. At 12 yrs had her titer tested and immunity was good. Dogs are way over vaccinated!
So are we.
1-4 dogs die of cancer so yup .. cause 30 years ago it wasnt the case

I’d love a full copy of the study to bring to my vet’s office as well. I used to have access to dozens of peer reviewed journal databases through the university where I worked for many years, but I no longer am working there due to medical issues. My vet’s office is amazing, but they seem to be very old school about the vaccine thing and feel NYC dogs are exposed to risks everywhere and that yearly vaccines are needed as a result. I’d love to try to open their eyes about newer findings from reliable studies.

If your vet needs a peer reviewed study, you should change vets…most likely they are using the most famous “gold standard” of veterinary doctrine and if you dig a little deeper, they are highly incentivized to to do so. Big farma is not liable for any of their products, which means the vets aren’t either.

My yorkie had the 3rd set of puppy shots at 4 months old. She is now 1.5 years old n i just had titer testing done, she doesnt need the 1 year booster all vets nag about, and it’s 6 months past that due date too.
And Ill bet my life, her 4 month old vac created the severe itching allergy that has been a nightmare to deal and will not go away, n I’ve spent well over 3000$ in vet bills in one year because of it! 🍻 Over vaccination is an understatement. And that pertains to humans too! 🍻
I agree completely…my older pit-mix had the most severe allergies the first 5 years of his life…being vaccine free for 3 years now, his allergy problem has reversed 80%. Vets push the shots, which create illness, thus requiring more meds (toxins) to put a bandaid on the original causation. A vicious cycle for money grab at expense of our pets lives. Rather sickening…

I only put the first 6 months after that my dog hasnt had none cause i read that 1-4 dogs get cancer and i asked how is that possible … 2 things … bad food diet and vaccines
Also, what I hate is that many private dog parks require vaccines every year for admittance

I took my 15-year-old Jack Russell to get her rabies shot. The vet suggested the “gold package “ of shots. She started swelling up and getting large soft masses all over her in two days and a week later she was so full of fluid her heart just stopped. I took her back to the vet and they gave her a steroid, but it didn’t work.
My dogs that got vaxxed had more health issues than our mostly unvaxxed puppy- she had a single for parvo at 8 weeks from her breeder, but parvo vax is useless until about 26 weeks, from my research.... At which poin, the puppy is really not susceptible to parvo - "the puppy killer" - anymore. So anyway, I titered my dogs, and the one who got the parvo single showed ZERO antibodies across the board at 5 years of age. The male, who had a single DDAP at 8 weeks cleared for all but parvo.
Mom's immunity, via her milk, lasts! Vaccinate too soon, and mom's antibodies wipe it out! This is why vets have the 8/10/12 schedule: trying to catch the window between when mom's antibodies kick the bucket and when puppy needs to build its own. But then parvo... 26 weeks pup can carry those antibodies, and vaccinating during that time can mean trouble!
Personally, based on what I've learned plus what I've seen in my own dogs (fully vaxxed vs minimal/unvaxxed), I will never vax again! Good, healthy raw whole animal diet is more than enough to keep them healthy and disease-free 😊
Yes its just a money grab as usual. Just like the human vaxxes. When i grew up we got 2 vaxxes now for school its like 67 or something absolutely trying to make us sick.

@@junebunny0712 based on my experience and the years of research since my first puppy 8 years ago, I disagree: vaccines - whether given individually and two weeks apart between other antigens or given as most vets prescribe - are not only NOT necessary, but harmful! Parvo, for example, is useless (as per the comment you replied to) prior to 26 weeks, and only the puppies that get their parvo shot get super-sick and/or die from parvo. Puppies that never receive a parvo shot truck on right through the illness, IF they even get it! The article and study is on the "dogs naturally" website, if I recall correctly.
I had a 10 month old dog that got parvo years ago and he died and he had his usual puppy vax and that’s it
@@MelaMD According to the research that I've done, puppies vaxxed for parvo are more likely to die when they get it vs puppies that remain unvaxxed. It's like the measles/mumps thing (I forget which) that came out several years ago: the people who were fully vaxxed got it way worse than those who were unvaxxed, and the unvaxxed literally skated through as though it was nothing more than a common cold.
I’ve stopped giving mine the yearly shots but the county requires rabies shots.

Meanwhile in Ontario if i don't pay a vet around $300 CDN to have the vet give a yearly distemper and rabies shot ,, no groomer will allow my pet to be cleaned shaved or bathed professionally. 🧐

@@AKIYIAKELLY i board dogs without vaccine. I have no requirements on this. If it's 2-6 m old pups,then yes,I tell ppl he need to have puppy vaccines to be safe. But it's up to them
Petsmart in calgary will not even clip a dogs toe nails unless they’ve had the rabies shot. My guess is all the other retail pet stores r the same too. 🍻
All just indoctrinated without any thought or common sense being used. I take my unvaxxed dogs to secure dog fields. They are never ill.
I took my dog for his yearly check up and spoke to my vet about titers and my decision to no longer vax and no more flea medicine due to adverse reactions. I was fully ready to walk out on him if he tried to change my mind. Thank God, his response was you will never get an argument from me that we over vax dogs. He also shared a story about a show dog he titered. He got his first 2 sets of distemper, parvo and rabies. They were good for 14 YEARS. He said the first to go was the distemper. Glad some vets are not being bought like our doctors are.
What about distemper and kennel cough ?
Kennel cough can be easily treated with rest fluid and honey or childrens cough medicine. The vaccine is a live virus also it won't stop them getting it it passing it on... Bit pointless really 🤷♀️
Good morning, t.y. for your info is been due opening. I have a rescue American pitbull he hz pallet cancer 7 yoa he's got the willl to live, been eating meat w/veggies & lately chicken or tuna. He's by my side ALL the time as he suffered from displacement. Iku lost1 of your dogs same way. I hv my pit on fenben 2.5 a day hv seen a lot of blood clots come out of his mouth, he's hv.n tough x breathing idk what I should do. plz help me. Does he hv a chance with the fenben ? I've been so depressed 🙏 🙏

Unfortunately where I live in an apartment they ask for proof of pokes and require that your pet has certain ones. Moving asap. Keep doing the good work Doc, we need you.
YES!! This is a big problem!!! The pet screening company/website is becoming mandatory every time you move into a NEW place. We didn't move because I don't want to vaccinate my cats again. They received vaccination when they were kittens, that is enough.
Vaccines are still important. He only said they should be administered differently. It takes a while for the standard to be properly changed in the medical field and legally.
I listened to the one about cyst I am using witch hazel then Castro oil then DMSO liquid day 2 doesn't look good but only day 2 it is like the open wund and red about the size of a 50 cent peice in diameter need to no if I am doing it correctly

Are they required to be vaccinated to be seen or treated? I assume it’s by state. I am leery of giving my last senior pet anymore since the previous one became grievously ill (17 yrs. old) two weeks after receiving it, where otherwise, he was in pretty good shape for his age. The vet insisted it was not the shots, but it still lingers in my mind…

My one year old golden retriever has been severely allergic to three vaccines so far (30-60 min later losing consciousness, and losing control of bowel and bladder). At her one year visit, we did titers only and she was fine. She’s due next month for rabies, and I’m terrified. She will be pre medicated with steroids, but I’m just so scared
Thank you, I do get them vaccinated, but I'm not a fan of getting them over and over, so I do as least as possible, my dogs are indoor dogs I walk them on a leash we live in country, they do not have alot of contact with other dog's they are healthy our dog that died a couple years ago he was done the same way ( less is more) he was 20 years old just a couple months from his 21st birthday
So why bother at all if their risk is low?

What about for lepto? The vet suggests yearly but our dog had a bad reaction last time that scared the crap out of me. Do we have to get that yearly?

this channel only recommends core vaccines. lepto is not required. if your pet had a bad reaction, absolutely never would subject them to it again. research and there is info about lepto shots being problematic. more risk questionable benefit= nope in my opinion.
Lepto jabs can cause adverse reactions. Seizures, skin problems, organ failure. I always have a K9 H2O bottle with me wherever I go so they have fresh water. They don't drink out of muddy puddles, so it's not needed. You should have seen the vets face when I said that...... 😅

My sweet girl, in my pic is 13. She had her last vaccinations at 9. I'm sticking to my guns, and saying we're done even when my vet told me that I had a civic duty from a public health perspective to get her another rabies shot. Love the honesty here and the humility. Awesome Vet.

I hear you…but I look at it as, what’s more important to you? Vaccine risks and possibly losing your pet to toxicity and autoimmune diseases they cause? Most vets don’t want to address the elephant in the room…and I know first hand, I lost a 9 year boxer. It was the most horrific, painful death for her…$20,000. (Yes the decimal is in the right place!) Later we put her down. In my opinion, my animals mean more to me than a mandate for groomers and doggy daycare. 🤷🏻♀️
@@AKIYIAKELLYYou can find other options like home pet sitters or another boarding..or some family/friends look after the pup. I stopped putting mine in boardings too, such ripoff

My english mastiff had his annual visit recently when he turned 3 yrs old 2 months ago and his health hasn't been the same since. All of July he was sick, very low energy, not eating or drinking much....weight loss. Then recently this past week, he staggered walking and fell completely onto the ground!! I was horrified. Vets say give him time to come around. When he had his vax shots in July, they gave him about 6 different shots...rabies, which wasn't due for another year...then parvo, distemper, listeria. Omg I feel so bad for letting him get injections for so many different things.
I put him on just chicken and rice for about a month. I also give him probiotics (Fullbucket health).
Is there anything else I can do to help rid some of the poisons? What about detox?
Why is it mandatory in states to give rabies vax so often, along with so many other shots? When our mastiff was a pup, they gave him so many vaxs. Something needs to be done to change some of these regulations.
I'm in the UK, so different Laws etc, but there is a detox for people called Chelation that detoxes the body of heavy metals. I wonder if this would work for dogs!!! Look up Dogs Naturally Magazine online. "Why v*ccine detox for dogs is important".

My natural vet has never brought vaxxs up at all.
I dont use wormers, flea/tick or heartworm "prevention" either.
I use pumpkin seed powder for my dogs, this is good if a dog has worms. I use Farewell Fleas in their food for part of the year and they've never had a problem. No way will I put a pesticide on my dog.

I think it was Dr. Linda Pierson who once stated titer for some vaccines on cats was good for over 10 years! I think most are good for 5 years. Most times, titer tests are more expensive than the vaccine itself

My poor dog went into anaphylactic shock from his puppy vaccines and then had a booster 2 years later that the vet insisted he get and told me he’d die if he didn’t, that booster ruined him. He’s had allergies to everything ever since and suffered for the past 7 years. HUGE mistake and I’ll never forgive myself for listening to that idiot vet

I want to stop with the vaccines. I have under the advice of vets vaccinated every year I have had my rescue dogs who are now 8&10 should I get bloods to check parvo and distemper antibodies or after that much vaccines can I be confident to go without now?

My dog started having seizures after her 2 yr old boosters. Three years later and we are on anti seizure meds and still have grand mal breakthroughs. She has NOT been vaccinated since and her titers still show full antibodies

@@shortbean1886 people have always diff opinions... My vet ( actually i have talked with 3 ) said that it's better to give the vaccine..... i first hand seen dogs die due to parvo virus so i thought it was necessary to go through the routine...
And my current vet never prescribes medicines or antibiotics unless it's necessary... Most time he suggests me herbal things to use...like for skin care coconut oil , or alovera gel for dogs paw infection , i don't even feed my dog any package food like padegree or royal canine... I was feeding at puppy stage but my vet suggested to start home food. With rice , raw Chicken , veggies.. so kinda trust his opinions.

I'm 100% certain vaccines caused my small dog to be allergic to everything at only 1yr old. Can't get a diagnosis, they only want to prescribe a $100 a month pill/shot that only stops itching, I can't afford that. I've tried everything but she's been suffering for 8yrs now. I saved this article. I need a doggie health certificate to take my pup to Hawaii and I have a sneaky suspicion that the vet is going to upsell me with vaccines. The last time allowed my adult dog this "package" at the request of the vet she had a huge lump at the injection site and her cataracts progressed rapidly. Criminals.

Boosters are the same vaccine given again right? Because to my knowledge pups must be given 3 different vaccines staring at 4 weeks
