BrayTube is just starting out, and my hope is to produce videos that will capture the interest of anyone lucky enough to call Bray their home. The commercial end will produce short videos for local businesses, and these will in turn enable me to produce videos exploring the people and places of Bray, as myself and my camera find them.
So, if you are a local business owner (or know one) interested in having a video produced for distribution on the BrayTube Facebook page (or anywhere, for that matter), or if you are a Bray resident with an idea for a suitable video subject - be it a person or a place - please send an email with your suggestions / requests to: brayvideo@gmail.com
All the best,
Dave Byrne

It's been 12 years since I lived in Bray, I love it and miss it everyday. Great video, thanks. I particularly love the clip of the two people scraping what must be dog poo of their shoes up the town :)
Thank you! You showed off Bray in the best way! Proud to be from Bray 👌
Never forget Bray. I lived there one of the best years in my life.
Such a beautifully creative video. It encompasses life. The beautiful faces, the color, the energy and the movement of the city is so rhythmic. Very nice ebb and flow.Keen artistic eye , the photographer has indeed. And the music..Well, after all it is Mr. Dylan..so it is perfect.
Thank you, Tammy. ;)
1:09 I remember one day as a kid in the 80's standing outside the Town Hall, noticing the bizarre statue for the first time. Only now have I looked it up on the internet: Standing in front of the Town Hall is a unique stone fountain with a statue of a wyvern on top, which has frequently been mistaken for a devil by locals. The wyvern is a mythological creature whose upper half is a dragon and whose lower half is a serpent or viper. The wyvem come from the Meath coat of arms and in the windows of the council chamber (now the Heritage Centre) in the Town Hall, wyverns can be seen in their correct armorial colours of gold, with red wings and limbs, collared and chained in gold. Water troughs were erected at several junctures around the fountain.
That's great, thanks for the info. I've always thought it was a Griffin, myself. You learn something new every day!
That's a replica. The real one was removed due to vandalism. Bray town, ladies and gentleman.
cool video..luv my home town...
As you should! Cheers.
Love this place! Thanks for the video!
Obrigado, Eddie! ;¬)
Lived in Bray for a while, it was a lovely place to be. Thanks A & G for the experience. :-)
you've a really good eye - very well made!
Thank you, Clare.
Outstanding video and truly challenges the natural urge to dismiss the good points of where you are from. As someone who works a lot at a European level with young people and youth workers I will be delighted to use this as a snapshot of our wonderful town! Luke Maloney soundtrack is a bonus! :)
Thanks for the feedback, Dermot! And I couldn't agree more. It's always good to remind yourself of the positives. ;¬)
CANT WAIT FOR VOLUME 2!
Coming sometime in June!
Good Vid!
Great video. (the scraping of dog poo from shoes at 1:16 could be edited out though!)
Sorry, Andrew, I love that shot! To be honest, I don't think it was dog dirt they were scraping. I think it was some kind of residue from the roadworks you can see behind them. Who knows? They haven't come forward yet! ;¬)
I like how you pick the one day where there's no traffic!
Camera trickery, smoke and mirrors! All the congestion ended up on the cutting room floor. ;)
brother... i lived in Bray, and i tell ya, it could be worst, waaaay worst. Bray traffic is lovely! ;)
