carbs = sugar, that is a huge portion of rice for anyone, especially a diabetic.
She is the one that needs to make the firm decision to change her diet. No amount of begging like you guys do for her to choose smaller portions is going to change anything.
girl cmon thats a lil to much remember the portion rice meat fruit and vegetables
Please use smaller spoon and plate and portions
Chew Chantal chew!!!!!!😅
orange juice is all sugar and you should be eating protein in the morn.
I really think a lot of times we overeat because we eat fast and don’t focus on the flavor and really feel what we are eating , therefore when the food is done we want more, chewing and eating slowly makes you eat less this is something that I am trying to achieve.
Loved seeing your smile so much in this one. Whatever was keeping your mood up this day, hold on to that.
Better on the portion size but remember to try to reduce the rice, it's full of carbs that turn into sugar..... maybe next time do half that amount of rice and instead add side of a cup of steamed broccoli or mixed vegies! I like that you are keeping track of what you are eating, that's great progress.... may I suggest that you plan what food you will consume the day prior..... this way you will be less tempted to cheat and stick to your plan of what you have already budgeted in for food.
My diabetic doctor here told me I could have rice but mix with veggies and meat and only eat what I can fit when putting two hands together (around 2 cups) :-) but thanks for the tips!
@@foodiethebeautywell follow the advice of your medical doctor of course but I'm also rather sure that they would agree that less rice is even better. My vegetable idea was just to add some stuff to keep you full longer while reducing the stuff that is less good for your blood sugar.
As a single lady myself, I often in the past hated when I tried to cook a portion of rice for myself and ended up with too much or too little after boiling it up...... so, I looked it up one time and was surprised to find that it's a one to 2 ratio. 1 cup of uncooked rice measured equals 2 cups of cooked rice. I even tested this out and measured it and it works perfectly.... just another idea to keep you moving twords progress!
I heard parboiled rice has lower glycemic index
@@foodiethebeautywhere are the veggies?
oh wow thanks for the info ☺️
Food looks great
That looks good
Needs maybe green beans or spinach, bit of green.
Did you know that if you refrigerate or freeze your rice for 12-24 hours it becomes a resistant starch that will not spike your sugar? Try it! Just cook your rice a day in advance. It works for potatoes too! I believe using coconut oil in your rice also reduces the glycemic index.
Chantal, if I were you maybe just focus on exercising for now. Start your day off with walking and then slowly start eliminating bad food habits. Talking about food seems to bring you so much anxiety so don't focus on food. Come up with a walking plan for the week. I think it would benefit you overall plus it would give you something to do. 💪🙏💜
La dah deee lah dah dah 🤣
Looks yummy! We have bbq pulled pork cooking in the crock pot right now and the smell is amazing. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Hi Chantal ❤ thank you for the videos!!
You are so welcome! thanks for watching:-)
I've always loved the fact that you embrace other cultures and are always up to trying different foods. I've recently dipped into trying some Middle Eastern food lately-my son is interested in the culture. Some of the ingredients can be hard to find in small town, Ohio, lol, but I'm working on it.
Hi Chantal! Glad you’re having a great day! ❤
