It's like the national curry in Sri Lanka.😂 We eat it everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner with rice and all other things. You cannot find a full local meal without dhal. This is not a family restaurant... so they focuses on office crew and some working staff in colombo.. so mostly they cook in mass quantity early in the morning. So its cold.

You guys missed out on the best dish (Fish Curry with Coconut Milk). You have to put some gravy and some pieces of chicken on to your string hoppers and squish them. Don't forget to try string hoppers and milk fish (Fish with Coconut Milk) next time. Also, it's not that spicy.

I love a freshly steamed Idiyappam for breakfast ! Where I'm from its commonly eaten as a sweet dish, with sugar and grated coconut/coconut cream.
