    Hey Josh, your TOEFL videos are nothing short of amazing! The way you break down each section - from the reading, listening, speaking, to the writing tasks - is so clear, concise, and incredibly helpful for anyone preparing for this challenging exam. Your tips on how to structure responses, manage time, and understand the types of questions that come up are absolute game-changers. I love how you use real-world examples to make complex concepts more approachable, and your enthusiasm really motivates me to keep practicing. It’s like you know exactly where students tend to struggle, and you provide the best strategies to overcome those hurdles. I’ve gained so much confidence in my preparation thanks to your guidance. You truly go above and beyond to ensure that your viewers feel ready for the TOEFL, and I can’t thank you enough! Keep up the fantastic work, you're helping so many people achieve their dreams! 🙌👏"

      @ts12N I memorized some good phrases to start ( in my opinion, I strongly believe, personally, etc) and kept a fast pace, not too fast, but a little faster than usual. And I used a lot of personal examples. I kept recording myself on prompts given by chat GPT

    Hey Josh, I just wanted to thank you so much! I took my test on the 24th of September, and I opened the website today to check my score of 119 (R: 29, others 30). I reviewed your structure for the integrated writing, your speaking practices, and much more--I cannot thank you enough :D
    Although it may just be a small portion, I know that this score would contribute to my college application, and I also know that a lot others will benefit from your videos, so keep up the great work!

    Thankyou so much, Josh. I have my test on oct. 7. I believe this will be really helpful. I wanted to ask if giving only one reason for independent speaking will affect my score. No matter how much I try, I end up giving only one reason and an example for independent speaking.

      @TSTPrep  Рік тому +1

      You can give two reasons or you can give one, it's up to you. I actually like to give one reason and one example but a lot of students find it difficult, so they prefer two reasons, totally up to you,

    Hi, Josh! Thank you so much for your videos. They're really helpful. I have a question as regards notes. Is there a problem if I look too much at my notes in this section? Should we try to look at the camera as much as possible or are we expected to be looking at notes during our response?

    • @TSTPrep
      @TSTPrep  Рік тому +1

      I think looking at your notes is fine! I don't recommend reading your notes, there is a BIG difference. If you read your notes, you will probably sound robotic and stiff. As long as you sound comfortable and natural when you speak, you can respond however you like, with or without notes.

    I just got back from the test and received the unofficial score for reading(19) and listening(21), which is disheartening since I had taken three of your tests here and scored almost full in those two sections. I also found the real test to be more intimidating in terms of vocabulary and topics I encountered. Was this just my bad fortune or there could be something that I missed before taking real test?

    • @TSTPrep
      @TSTPrep  Рік тому

      Well, while we try our best to match the level of difficulty as the real TOEFL iBT, some people feel that our tests are a bit easier. Hope this answers your question and good luck on your next test!

    Hey Josh, thanks for the great videos! I have tried a couple of times the Elsa Speech rater you recommended but it says that it doesn't even identify my speech and speak clearer, I am pretty sure that people can clearly understand when I speak, so am I doing something wrong? I really wanted to try this.

    • @TSTPrep
      @TSTPrep  Рік тому

      Hi Kelly, thanks for your question. Unfortunately, it's difficult to tell from your comment what the issue is. If Elsa isn't identifying any sound at all, maybe contact their technical support to see if may be a settings or microphone problem. If it is picking up your sound and it still says you are unclear, perhaps consider doing a speaking evaluation so we can tell for sure. - tstprep.com/store/toefl/toefl-speaking-evaluation/
