UK is just sales/streams only so no radio airplay is counted. So the US chart is a lot more stagnant than ours is because of this. Love your reactions!
Also each artist can only have three songs in the UK chart (as the lead artist), in order to avoid album bombs when a major artist release a new album. That's why for example there are only three songs from Kendrick Lamar's new album. That rule is informally called the "Ed Sheeran rule" because when Sheeran released his album "÷", all its 16 tracks hit the top 20 and pushed almost everything else down the chart.
@@beansx21 There is also a rule where after 9 (?) weeks of continued decline in streams, the weighting in stream-to-chart value widens so songs like Please please please and espresso by Sabrina rapidly fell out the chart when they were significantly past their peak. It's a hard rule to explain so I hope that's clear enough!
Adding to this, Anime means anything animated that is produced in Japan by Japanese crew. Anime-inspired visual style is commonly seen in other countries' outputs but those films or shows are not considered as anime.
every year christmas somgs clog the top 100 always the same ones then as soon as christmas is over half the songs that were knocked out of the chart return
