Take care and remember AGTV4Life!! :)
I miss these old catalogs! They were so amazing!
I wish I could’ve started my collection at a younger age!
I wish they still made the catalogs like this! I was 8 in 2003 so it was the height of my American Girl doll obsession, until I recently got back into them this fall. I could never afford a doll growing up, but I LIVED for these catalogs! BONUS
Such a great age and it must’ve been so much fun getting the catalogs in the mail. They were so much better back then.
It seems like there were alot more selections in the catalog back then! I remember getting a catalog in the mail in the early 90’s. My daughter wasn’t interested, she was more into Barbie’s. As I got older I bought a few AG dolls. I display them in a bookshelf. Fun video to watch! 🙏🏻😻
I’m glad you enjoyed this video. I have tons of catalogs and LOVE the old ones because they are packed with a little of everything and so much fun to go through. I get so into them and distracted because I find myself looking things up on ebay to see the going rate for certain items especially the HTF ones. 🥰
That was a good catalog
I love Kits pages in this catalog. Her Hobo outfit is a favorite. BONUS
One of my favorites too! ☺️
Beautiful items, wish I had been collecting back then! Thank you! 😊
Right?! Me too!!
Oh, the old catalogs were the best!! My mom read the hopscotch hills books to me and my sister but we never had any of the dolls.
My little sister had the Angelina collection, it was cute. But my mom liked it more than my sister liked it.
Totally agree!! I love the old catalogs!!
I did not realize they had sooooo many bitty baby items! I agree that these collections were really robust! BONUS
Your comments remind me that it was a good idea to share this catalog because sometimes catalog flip throughs are not popular videos - or at least the ones I’ve done haven’t been too popular, but I’ll keep sharing them since I have a lot of catalogs. ☺️
Oh wow! I was only a toddler in 2003 but this is reminiscent of the AG catalogs I grew up with. The thought of getting a new doll for $80 though?? CRAZY! 😂
Right!? My oldest daughter was 5 when this catalog came out and wasn’t into dolls - my youngest daughter loved AG!! She even made some of the videos on my channel 🥰
I love looking through the old catalogs. Not only is it interesting to see what was available, but as you said, they are great to use to see what pieces went to an outfit or accessory set if you get one second hand.
I have 2 hopscotch hill girls I got at the thrift store. They need to be restrung but I’m afraid to do it. They do have different looking faces that many people don’t like.
My daughter was into Angelina Ballerina. She just had the doll, no additional accessories or clothes.
There is nothing better than to have a catalog to use when trying to figure out what goes with what. I had this idea of dressing my dolls with items in the catalog and inserting pictures as I did a "flip through" video, I guess I'll see if I ever execute on that since my brain is overflowing with video ideas that sound good to me, but I'm not sure if others will like. Are there any videos you haven't seen here on UA-cam and would like to see? I'd love to know. I understand how you feel about restringing the Hopscotch dolls since once you start a project like that you need to see to the end. Maybe check for a UA-cam video on how to restring them and that might help you. Thanks for commenting :)
I also haven’t even heard of the hopscotch dolls, they are cute!
Coincidently I saw one posted in one of the Facebook BST groups today.
What a magical catalog! So many beautiful things! (Bonus)
It is magical. I love the historical doll pages. Do you have a favorite?
I h of many lands, Isabel. I do nothing with her she is stored in a container. I have Kits birthday set but I do not have the Chinese lanterns. I found some doll size ones at Ikea. I had one Hopscotch hill doll for my youngest daughter but we gave it away when she stopped playing with it. Fortunately we kept most of her American girl stuff that are now art of my collection. Thanks for the video.
I think the other doll collections didn’t have the same appeal as AG 18”, Wellies and bitty babies. That’s great that you found a substitute for Kit’s lanterns. I got the set without lanterns for $20 and bought lanterns separately for $8. Got all in a purge in one of the FB BST groups. I remember the prices since I included a note inside the box since I like to remember the prices of certain things. Hope you had a good day today! ☺️
Great video
TYSM!! 😁
I loved this step back in time! I placed my first order on New Years Eve so I feel like I'm very New to the party! I would really love to own a few of the vintage outfits and accessories some day 🤞 BONUS
Well welcome! So you’re relatively new to collecting…and down the rabbit hole you go 😂
I have the bitty baby Christmas outfit! I use to have the blonde twins but I regret selling them BONUS
My youngest daughter used to have the dark hair twins. Unfortunately she sold them.
Sorry my comment is so choppy It is late and I had a really long day but I enjoyed the look through the catalogue and wanted to comment.
I appreciate you commenting even if choppy. I totally understood 🥰
