I live near Grant, My fire department went all over Marshall County helping any and all that needed it. I have never been more pround of my neighbors. We are Alabama.
amazing job of rebuilding...took my first trip to tuscaloosa for the tennessee game and if i didnt know any better, i would have sworn it was a cri mson tornado that blew us out of bryant denny in the second half...same tornado tore up part of my county here in Tenn and killed 7. the human spirit is strongest in crisis.
I was at Mt. Woods lake where I had a house that morning. We were helping a few families that were hit. All day we kept hearing how bad is was going to get while seeing what had already been done in and around Warrior. As bad as that was it was so small compared to the aftermath later that day. So proud the State pulled together the way they did. Even the football team from AU came to Tuscaloosa and helped out. We may love our football here in this State, but when you get down to it we know what's most important. Because of the help you gave to us Auburn in T-Town that day, I wish you luck in this years upcoming BCS Championship game. We had our shot and made too many mistakes. No one can argue that. So, go make it 5 straight years the State of Alabama kicked rear in College Football. Would have loved nothing better than to have seen a 1st ever rematch of the Iron Bowl though.
