I'll be 73 shortly. Riding keeps me focused, energized, even feeling a bit youthful. Motivation isn't hard......I was one of those very rare people who loved his job. Now, in retirement, I take my alma mater's young geology students into the field to begin to sense what this earth is all about. In a few months, taking a group to the UP of Michigan. Really looking forward to that. Look forward! Always forward.
I guess the ground hog gets a reprieve this year!! So far so good on the early spring weather!! The sunshine does help motivate me, in the winter I just get the BLAHs.
Man, I feel you on motivation. Gotta ride the wave when you have it, and rest when you don't. I really like my Hero 12, minus its issue with The Remote - disconnecting. I've seen good things from the Ace Pro, but I'm in the GoPro ecosystem and all my cams work with each other. Oh, and I paid for my Hero 12, so there's that. I've got easily 100 hours of recording with it... if not more. It's been VERY reliable.
Getting sick will drain the motivation. Sometimes just gotta force myself back into it, and then I usually feel better that I did something instead of waisting the day. You're not wrong about new gear bringing some motivation, but I have tried to reduce my GAS lately. lol
Im in the same boat I want to get a new Camera and move the GoPro 8 to the front facing camera. I feel the same about the reviews where everyone gets a camera for free. I can't trust those. For me its the GoPro12 vs the Insta 360 Ace (non Pro). I don't ride at night so I don't need the Ace Pro. One other thing I watched about those videos, the influencers gush about the new camera and complain about GoPro, then a video or two later they are back to using the GoPro, so what does that say?
I will be 62 in a month...My Passions Motivate me...Thats what keeps me going...

Very cool. Love the UP. We used to vacation in the Mackinaw area every summer and would spend time in the UP. Very beautiful up there.

I’ve unmotivated to do or watch UA-cam for quite a while.
