Awesome video, and thanks for sharing! We did EuroVelo15 last year (Oberalppass to Cologne), hoping to do more Swiss biking next year! How are you filming while on the bike and what camera are you using?

The filming is on a GoPro Hero 10 mounted to one of these: a.co/d/hJNnKQh
It's pretty stable when clamped but easy to grab and pan around as well.

You can follow the entire journey in order here ua-cam.com/video/dJtSGe0C4Mw/v-deo.html
We started in Sevilla, Spain and cycled through Portugal, did the Camino Portugues, did the Camino de Santiago west to east, made our way through Southern France to Italy, completed the Via Francigena to Rome, took a train up to Lugano and continued with this video. I'll add more videos to this playlist as I publish them.

I've ridden that pass a couple of times on my bicycle trainer. Many of the sights and vistas are familiar, but I'll bet your way, including the actual cobblestones and actual gravity, was harder. Also, it looked more interesting.

What an epic trip! I think Google recommended your channel because I was looking at cycling the Rhine from source to mouth. Downhill all the way, of course. 😁 I definitely couldn't do the mountain passes that you've done!

It was amazing to see the source of the river and how quickly it grows as it descends. The entire Rhine would be a great trip!

I found that the passes like this one are not crowded with touring vehicles that go fast, but the motorcyclists who are all tourists do speed…

did you have reservations for the train and all your bikes? I biked in europe once and the train had no bike space, needed to reserve months earlier. are you camping?

We were able to get a train reservation from Rome to Pisa but not from Pisa to Milan. The train employee said we could stay on to Milan only if there was room. The train ended up being over capacity for bikes but we made it. Several Italians also did not have reservations but everybody made room and nobody complained. We were prepared to switch over to regional trains if necessary but luckily didn't need to. No reservation was needed for the last leg from Milan to Lugano. Later on, we had to fly from Salzburg to Amsterdam because we could not get bike reservations on the German rail. Each country has different rules for different types of trains. After Lugano, we camped every night in Switzerland, the rest of Italy, and Austria until Salzburg. We called ahead 2-3 days in advance but didn't actually need camping reservations as there was always plenty of room.
