Hahaha great comment! Yeah, its A LOT of fun, and very handy...we ran the whole house on Kubota power (BX23 and PTO generator) after hurricane Fiona for several day.
I'm happy to see how much you like your snowblower. I bit the bullet yesterday and signed the paperwork to buy the same machine with a front mounted snowblower as well. It's definitely a lot more expensive, but for me driving forwards and looking forward seems a lot easier for snow clearing. Makes me excited now for winter lol.
Make sure you check out my video about the tractor issues I had. Several of us youtubers had to tighten the chain sprocket. Other than that, it's a great snowblower! Now, if only we could have as much snow as we had rain this summer over next winter, the more the better.
Awesome! Welcome to the snowstorm lovers club lol. Make sure to watch my video "Kubota BX23s tractor issues after 2 years". Its a great tractor but its not problem free...expect hydraulic leaks...all tractors have them.
Glad you are liking that machine, I own one identical to yours, after using it for the last 2 summers I can honestly say it has been an incredibly handy tool!!.
Thanks! I can't wait for the spring...lots of landscaping to come, and the garden, and the pond, and the greenhouse lol it's going to be one big Kubota party!
I could feel your excitement !! 😁 I really enjoyed the video ! then went to look for more after this date and now more Kubota snow videos bah humbug LOL. I hope you post some this season ! Really enjoyed it. 😁 Thanks for the video !
Sorry for the late reply...for some reason your comment went in my held for review pile perhaps "bah humbug" is now a censored word lol. I will post more snow blowing videos for sure as soon as I get snow...we have had very little this year but we always get a good dump in February so my goal is to make a really funny video this time since the last one has been my most popular video and I am trying to grow subscriptions so I can fund some of my crazy ideas. Thanks for your comment! Jack
@@jackofallissue6661 Hi again ! haha, that's funny ! Wow had no clue Google would flag that world LOL. Thanks for the reply ! I've subbed and hit the notification bell. It's funny how things change when one gets a tractor..... we all want BIG snow ! 2 feet a week would be amazing ! Thanks for replying and I hope for BIG snow for you soon ! 👍😁
@@KubotaTractorTherapy Hahaha yes also with 2 feet of snow you suddenly have many neighbors who want to be your best friend especially in my area since everyone has long driveways and I'm the only guy with a tractor. Right now I'm away on a job and my wife is about to have all the fun since a storm is coming today. I wonder how many girls blowing snow videos are out there...lol that might go viral. Thanks for subscribing, I just did the same with your channel. I like your back blade, I opted for a welder instead lol, how do you find the turf tires in the snow?
@@jackofallissue6661 Haha ! Oh I hear ya on that one ! with the neighbors wanting to be friends LOL. Oh boy ! does that mean a video of your wife doing the snow ? I bet not ! she said... nope nope nope ! 😂 🤣
Lol do like me get a piece of land outside the city with a 900ft driveway and build a house on it so you can justify a tractor so your wife can do the driveway when you away for work. Trick is always plans things to have the wife declare it a necessity. Cheers!
LOL I love your excitement ... That's how I feel when I get a chance to play in the snow with the KM. Great video! Make sure you get a bag of shear pins when you have moments like this.
Looks like you had a lot of issues with your blower...I'm having second thoughts now about choosing 50 over 55" lol. I wish I could have seen your video before I got mine I might have got the 55" instead. Hopefully your chain issue was just bad luck or a defective chain.
Cool! Make sure to check that the chain sprocket is on tight and that it is lined up properly...someone at Kubota wasn't doing their job in 2019. At least two of us youtubers broke their chain within the first snowfall due to improper factory setup and the teeth skipping into the chain. My Kubota dealer did good by me and ended up giving me a free chain. Cheers!
The electric chute deflector was a factory unit from Kubota offered with the snow blower I splurged on this purchase lol. I'm sure you'll enjoy your BX23. Cheers!
Damn first time using and you wiped out two shearpins yikes! I hope you have the Kubota insurance? I've had my awesome workhorse 23S for 2 winters on 110 acres in New York 250 miles south of Montreal at 1875' above sea level. I snowblow & plow a 1/2 mile shale wood lot road and a 350 foot paved driveway. I rototill a .5 acre garden. I mow .75 acre grass lawn and hay a field of 2 acres. Great decision you won't be disappointed with your decision.
Yes I do have the Kubota insurance. That was a big rock and I ended up with an even bigger one later that day off camera about 9" long and 3" thick. Broke shear pins again lol. Should be better next year when my drive way is finished right not it's just a pile of rocks by the house. Sounds like you got a really cool property. I have lots of plans for my property including lots of no till gardening using wood chips. Cheers!
Yup...but it's darn hard to do that in the middle of a construction site when your not the one controlling what's being put on the on the ground. This year it's all nice and clean lol.
@@itsruf1 hahaha... nope to both, just a guy looking at buying a BX1500, so this is pretty cool for me. I was raised on a farm, but I'm living in town. I just cant shake the tractor in my veins, and don't want to. JOAI's tractor would have been so appreciated in caring for our personal garden chores.
Yes the Kubota is more refined, has a better engine, is more quiet but the JD does have a higher lift capacity on it's loader. Overall though I'm very satisfied with my BX23!
Blowing snow works a lot better when you don’t put the snow where you have to move it again raise the spout up and get snow away from you. I would blow it into the trees and never deal with it again commen sence
Well yes it's common sense but then the wife doesn't want me to hit this tree and that tree it's called survival of the husband lol. That's why I blew the snow low and in a cleared area. Also, I had several crates with construction materials around the house when the tractor is coming out of the garage so I had to blow the snow in front... Cheers!
That chute is like when a toddler boy discovers his boy device for the 1st time, you just fling it everywhere proudly 🤣 Tractors are awesome

I just bought a BX23s and the 55” heavy duty snowblower. I have a 650ft driveway and I’m excited to use it too.
I’m also located in Nova Scotia. 😉

I know this thread is older but I need a snowblower for my BX23S in 2022
and there is almost no info avail these days. Which snowblower model is that?
Hi Albert its a BX2816 made by Kubota.
Jack
I see you did the combo of hydraulic and electric. Good choice. Its what I did on mine. Airport Kubota.
I just bought one and got the snowblower attachment. Your driveway looks exactly like mine! Lol

Always clean and verified your driveway before the first snow......

I think the kubota is a tad nicer then the deere from attachments to new mods on the machine.

It's called "Always Dreaming - Within Reach"

@@danyoder3534 You know the saying happy wife...happy life lol
My Honda blower throws the snow a longer distance then this
Maybe...I've never tried a distance test
Do yourself a favor & remove that stupid wire thing in the chute. It will clog when snow is wet.
Lol haven't had issues with it yet but the first time I do the grinder will be grinding it to pieces.
