Seriously dude? Quite the buyers guide and complete breakdown of issues to look for. #1 on the list, radio antenna. #2 rear wiper fluid tube leak. #3. Engine cylinder liner treatment that you won't know about until the engine is ruined. Gee, thanks for the guide that touches on exactly ZERO real things to look for when purchasing a used Cayenne.
It really doesn't cost that much "premium money" to keep it running. There's nothing fancy or complicated about the fluids required, change intervals, and anything else considered "basic" maintenance to include tires. The brakes that came on my 08 Turbo are massive and take a long time to wear all the way down unless you're driving it hard. The tires aren't any more expensive on this platform than anything else really. I guess you could make an argument for the 21" wheels but there's tons of cars and trucks out there that cost the same or maybe even more for a set of 4 new tires. These vehicles are seriously underrated and were even cheaper than they are now pre-stupid-covid. They're built like tanks and if well taken care of can probably last well over 200k easily. Especially for the 07+ models.
@@Wandji18 well like this video said from 2003 to 2012 is quite a big range for these models. I have a 2011 and I love it. Been the best vehicle I've ever had, even with nearly 120k miles. I almost got a 2004 or 2006 I forget and that had a lot of problems
955 1st Gen Turbo - Wire harnesses to the headlights, big headache. Horns are another common problem as they get wet and stop working. You have to remove the entire front 'bumper' panel to replace. In addition to the other previously mentioned problems, these two in particular are as preventable as the plastic coolant pipes should have been. Now you know why resale value nose dives. It's a lot of car for the money, but I'll stick with Mercedes.
Ok, but I see other videos they say thermostat need change about run 65.000 miles, the battery too. And much other need be change when cayenne has run 100.000 miles...brake etc., can be expensive
4.5 have had owned a 2003 4.5S for many years and have had no issues whatsoever. The smaller 6cyl models are very underpowered amd heavy on fuel in comparison.
thanks for the review, planning on buying (maybe) a 2005 cayenne S with 48k Miles. I thought the gearbox was a problem but what else shall i look for?, also is there a suspension setting for these? in some pictures it seems very tall for city and speed
I personally wouldn't buy one of these I think they Lexus rx is a much better vehicle I bought one new back in 2009 it's got almost 360000 miles on it I truly believe it will do 500000 mile a the only problem is will I last that long hoho
me think to buy a used cayenne with 40,000 miles because of cheap price... coated aluminum bore?... me NO thanks... let them go to the junk yard ... i'll stick to my chevy's that i get 400,000 miles on the v-8's...
why are you watching it then?... he has an accent, so what?!! probably you came from a very small world a very small environment with no interest what's so ever. if you had a decent job, a job that allows you to travel and deal with other race, you would have more mature reaction than saying "silly accent". The only one silly here is the one with a small brain, guess who? I'm dying to hear you trying talking another language... please go get yourself a proper education
Not really. If you look at videos or in forums on every car they always have problems. Because people love to talk about the bad things, and not the good. I bought a Merc that supposedly is rusting like crazy. Mine is not staying in a garage. Daily driven, has over 230.000km. Also it is 19years old. Never had any bodywork done to it, except for new front bumper, fenders and skirts (just to make it look like shit) Still only got small rust spots from rocks kicking up on the hood and a few around the door. (Driving on salted tarmac every winter and I'm living close to the ocean)
Light Surfer you comment on every single Cayenne video. It’s always something super negative. Why watch so many of these videos if you hate the car so much?
1.25x speed.. thats perfect for this video.
Thank you!
love this
awesome!
I watch everything on UA-cam in 2x or 1.75x if they speak a little faster normally lol
I'm time efficient hahaha
My understanding is that the cylinder liner problem only applies to the lower performance engines. Isnt that true?
So is a Porsche Cayenne worth buying or not? Seems like a lot of people have mixed opinions/reviews. I want one

Would you recommend buying a 2007 and newer or older?

I planned to buy a cayenne 1st model, which one is the best model? (Less problems)
3.2? 3.6? 4.5? 4.8?
3.2 and 3.6.
4.5 have had owned a 2003 4.5S for many years and have had no issues whatsoever. The smaller 6cyl models are very underpowered amd heavy on fuel in comparison.
3.6 VR6 u wont regret it,enough power,no problems with coolant pipes,no air suspension. I have it it awesome.

Thanks for this video. how was the Cayenne hybrid s model 2012? I have a seller and am contemplating it.
2:45 If you thinking about very reliable and dependable SUV , just walk little further and take the other car next to cayenne 😬😬

1:07 is not the facelift from the 1st generation 😂😂😂
You're right, he shows the face lift of the 2d generation ahaha
Amazing review

+MATTHEW JACKSON Yes I am 👍🏻
Please do a video on peugeot 407
Is there any mile range where certain problems or generally a few problems start appearing?
The problems usually begin to appear about a week after you buy it.
two-syllable word: “Por-shuh.”
I’m pretty sure it’s just one syllable “Porsh”
@@rssrrs It is two syllables for people who own one, other people think it's one syllable.
You are giving wrong information!!!
Example ?
thats not a 2010, i have a 2010....
Just get the V6
Missed quite a few important issues found in the 03 to 05 models
Would you mind sharing those issues ?
@@EEPRODUCTIONSKLB the biggest one is the plastic coolant tubes under the intake manifold. They crack. Porsche make a cast replacement
Thanks for sharing, I am sure it will help some people

Chevy and reliable aren’t two words that should be used in the same sentence 👎
Great detail s the cayeen s is great on streets but on off-road peace of shittttttt
You would not buy it to go offroad, right ? :) Then buy a land rover or toyota land cruiser.
whats up with people doing these reviews and them puting on a silly accent.

silly accent ?
more info please
what kind of accent is proper ?
that means that he speaks at least 2 language
If you cannot pronounce Porsche correctly, use shouldn't be allowed to own one. Disrespectful to Ferdinand.
My bad.
How did he say it wrong
Learn how to spell
Lol
Too many problems and too expensive.

A turd in a toxedo pure garbage. Get yourself a Lexus SUV you will be happy

Lexus SUV...an overstyled Toyota...You sound like you have never driven a Cayenne! I've owned 2 and a Lexus SUV - I know the difference..do you???
