How can cities be greener, wilder, more inclusive, liveable and poetic? Join author May East for a participatory exchange to celebrate the launch of May’s book “What if Women Designed the City?”. The book draws from in-depth walking interviews with 274 women from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth, and offers 33 leverage points on how planners, practitioners, and communities could intervene in urban planning systems so that cities can work better for women and girls, ultimately benefiting us all.

About the Creative Bureaucracy Festival:
On 13 June 2024, the Creative Bureaucracy Festival triumphantly returned for its 7th edition in Berlin! The festival saw over 1,850 international participants from 50 countries from government, politics, civil society, and other change-making organisations gathering to share and celebrate outstanding examples of innovative public administrations.
The festival featured four dynamic stages and four immersive workshop tracks, creating a vibrant main programme for the day. Attendees were treated to a variety of engaging formats, including insightful keynotes, panels, interactive workshops, round tables, and even a cruise.
