I’ve visited some races in Spa and Hockenheim during the V10 era, man it was so much more than these obese more quiet cars. Nothing beats a 650kg car with a V10!
It’s actually is mental. I’ve been in a two seater, (I’ve also raced moto2 nationally, was asked to take a h2r to 400kmph on the street and record it for the owner, have a high end r1m track bike) but in doesn’t compare to the G forces and breathing control needed to be in one of these things. Thinks of two guys hanging basically hanging off when tightening the harness till its hard to breath. Then a third guy yanking to tighten you in more. The end of the straight even though on a bike I’m doing the same speed. The car break waaaaay later. I closed my eyes and braces for impact on two first consecutive laps. Words cannot begin to describe it tbh.
