After we had #5 my husband said we are not having 6 don't even talk to me about it. I just started praying. Several months later he came home from work and simply said he met a new guy at work with 6 kids and I knew we were on the way to having another. We now have 8. Thanks for the video! 🌻
That's so cool!
I’m a Momma to 8 as well!! So much fun and love in my house
I am mom of 5 , baby # 6 is on the way. I have boy, girl, boy, girl , boy and the baby girl will be here in 2 months, by the time when this baby comes my first born will be 10 years old. We also decide this is going to be our last baby. God know how many kids are we going to have or blessed with!!!!
We thought we were done after 6 as well and started giving everything away but the Lord changed our minds. Our oldest was 14 when we had #8. Now he's married and is having one of his own and I get to be grandma!
Amazing! ❤
That feeling your described when you saw you're eldest daughter for the first time after delivery where you knew you couldn't let anyone else care for her... It's such an under discussed reality that it's a strong instinct to care for you're own kids. ♥️♥️
Thank you for this video. Your videos have been a source of comfort for me recently now as I am grieving a loss…. I am a mom of two children that are grown and in college now. I homeschooled both from kindergarten through high school and it was the best thing I ever did for them. Your videos help me fondly remember those days ❤ blessings to you
I was also a CNA before becoming a stay at home mom! Loved helping the elderly and I do miss the gratitude and the conversations!
You’re an example, thank you a lot for your story as a wife, a mum, a woman! I’m a Roman Catholic wife and a mum of two after a looong waiting… we hope in other pregnancies!!!! God bless you guys, you’re a beautiful family!!!!
🌻Love the homeschool tutorial coming up. I want to help keep our grandson out of public school.
So many interesting topics covered here.
We are so alike.
Hurray for your leadership of young women ( not me- I’m old!😍) you are a blessing to many!! ❤
I’m so excited to share our homeschool room and our routine especially! Thanks for the kind words Kellie
🌻 I could listen to you all day! I am a grandma to soon to be 7 grandbabies. I'm just curious about the grandparents to your beautiful babies. I know we have our grandbabies as much as we can and it is amazing to have them and be able to do so many fun experiences with them.
This is the funniest tip, I put on glitter hemp oil and my favorite perfume, as soon as my husband sees the extra glitter he's knows it's going to be fun evening.
I have 3 kids under 5, and people act shocked when I say I’m done right now but not forever. So often motherhood is looked at like a burden, instead of a blessing. And it’s refreshing to hear someone with more kids than me loving being a mother and loving her kids. ❤
I have 10 kids on earth and 2 in heaven. I love watching your videos. You help keep me positive and motivated. It's so nice to see like minded mamas out there. Also I just gotta say I did get up and grab the baskets and got 2 loads of laundry folded and put away thanks to you lol 🌻
We implemented early bed times with our first child and we are so glad that we did. Our kids are used to it and it allows us to get the rest of our homestead and house chores done and gives the adults a small window of alone time. Before we did that, we were putting our child down to bed close to when we went to bed and we are so glad we made the switch! 😇
We do that with our toddler and will with our next child due soon. My mumma friends mostly put their children down late at night and get no time with their husbands or to unwind but it just wasn't working in my home. I've also started getting up extra early to have my time with just hubby of a morning and get a head start on chores. It means a bit less sleep but since I'm not feeling so rushed and stressed I find it's worth it.
Yep! Same here! Our kids are in bed by 8/8:30 on weekdays.
What time do your kids go to bed and wake up?
@@ThisMamasHouse We put our toddlers to bed at 7 PM and they wake up between 7-8 AM. We rarely miss bed time and they like the routine. It allows us to be present with them during the day and provides us with some time in the evening and morning to complete our homesteading and homemaking tasks that are more of a challenge when the children are awake. 😇
My children had a bedtime of 7:30 when they were toddlers and that got bumped to 8pm when they entered school age, we generally had an hour or so after the kids went to bed and I was in bed at 9pm and my husband would stay up for his quiet time with God and be in bed by 10pm a it worked for us and we still do this as empty nesters. And until they moved out of our home, we all had a quiet hour after lunch- no need for a nap if they did t want to but we all went to our rooms to just have a mind rest as I call it. My kids wake up time each morning was 7am but I woke at 4am to exercise, shower and then my time with God, my husband woke at 6am and we would have our time together to pray, go over our day and any bills to be paid before he left for work. Routine was essential when raising our kids and they thrived on routine as did I, not to say there weren’t spontaneous moments but because of the routine I set up, it allowed more free time for me and the kids to have fun or go out and discover our town.
I love how ur so open about “Christian intimacy” lol most homesteaders act like it doesn’t exist…lol it’s a natural part of things especially for a married couple!
Geez, I got on the comments because I thought you would need some support. Your answers are definitely not the ‘way of world’ right now. But! Look how blessed we are to see how many women DO agree with your content. Thank you for being so confidently honest and sharing with us so we know we are not alone. May God continue to bless you and your family! 🙏🏻
Love this Q&A! It's like girlfriends sharing together and helping each other out! Thanks, Tabitha and God bless! ❤️✝️😘
I'm the most happiest when all my chicks are back in the nest, how I'm going to be when it's their time to leave home is scary. I sort the laundry into 3 piles dark white and mixed I do one load aday and fold as soon as they come out of the dryer, the clothes are not so creased I also have baskets for everyone as it's folded it goes into their basket, they take their basket and put it away. This really helps me stay on top.
I'm a newer follower, but I love your channel. Fellow Catholic here; its really refreshing that you are sharing your faith without hesitation or fear. Thank you. 💜 🌻
It’s so fun hearing your chatty video! I love learning more about you!
I loved this laundry chat!
Sleep together, and “ spooning” together, is a way of alone time, with sex…or with out… it was comforting and rewarding to both my husband and I. Love the skirt look on you, I notice that a while back. I’ve seen women on UA-cam who only wear skirts with leggings underneath for day working out side. I’m a fan for many years, thank you for taking time with us❤️
Me and my hubby have said 4 is enough. We want to have a big family but also want to give them all individual attention. ❤️
I didn’t even know there was a sunflower emoji!!🌻
Thanks for being vulnerable, it definitely feels good to hear other humans. And not just the perfect face behind the screen. You’re amazing!
🌻 I would love to see more homeschooling videos! Especially how you manage the toddlers so that they aren’t distracting the older ones.
I love your videos. Thank you for sharing your life!
Absolutely love how you talk about honoring your husband! You’re doing awesome. 🎉
I am a Melancholic 98% & Phlegmatic 2%. I love looking up saints who were my temperament (st. Therese of Lisieux was Melancholic). ❤️
Wonderful content! We, as Christian women, seem to be very reticent about speaking of sex, women’s reproductive choices and issues, health overall and the struggles of motherhood. As long as we are respectful, not vulgar, we should be able to ask and answer these questions and concerns with each other, I feel that those mental health and physical struggles of Christian women would be diminished if we spoke about issues we have with other Christian women.
I'm not married yet but I am believing in God for marriage so I'm grateful for you to give some great insight on Christian marriage and being a mom.
🌻I'm a mom of 4 kids ages 11 and under. I really enjoy your videos
🌻 “Grocery delivery lady is the real mvp” 😂😂 so true
🌻I loved this!! This should be a weekly video! Tabithas laundry chats🌻
I would love to see that. Great idea!
🌻Loved this! Felt like listening to a friend I hadn’t reconnected with in awhile 🥰
🌻 I enjoyed the chat sis. Love your hair, and that was great wisdom you shared to the woman who asked about persuading her husband to have more children. ❤
So good to see you here! I love y'all ❣️
I must need these loop or calm ear "plugs" every sound is just too much. Thank you for being transparent!
You are a wise young women....wish I had a friend like you many years ago to chat with about many of these things...I am pretty sure your delicate candidness was helpful to many young mothers....🌻🌻🌻
I was watching this video while cleaning my apartment, i swear this is a life changing video for me and I learn alot. Thanks.
We did NFP for years. There are over 9.5 years between our 3rd and 4th. I generally agree with you about the cons of birth control, but I do take a low dose pill now because I was told repeatedly I'd likely die if I got pregnant again. Our 4th/youngest was born while I was in a coma.
I know she is Catholic and so am I. We can't use birth control besides NFP. We would have to abstain if we cannot have more children for any reason.
@@meganharoldson8785 I was just sharing my experience. I'm unsure of all of the Catholic beliefs and rules. I'm nondenominational Christian. I'm 39 and married. My husband and I are not going to abstain and I'm not going to risk dying by possibly getting pregnant again.
I would really consider your source of " religion" study the roots
🌻 thank you for sharing on some sensitive topics that others might shy away from - so helpful to get ideas from other families and marriages ❤
🌻Thank you so much for this message! I definitely need to submit more to my husband and care for his needs. We’ve been together since 14 and we’re 32 now. It’s been one heck of a journey and have just recently found God and Jesus in 2022. Reading at least one verse everyday and pray upon wakening and at night. Always making sure to give thanks, to follow with love and obedience, and to ask for strength and patience when needed. That’s it! My husband and I are currently trying to grow our family of 4 and it’s hard for me to even want to pray and ask Him. As much as I want another baby, I believe it’s only right when He decides that and when it’s on His term. Again, thank you for such a beautiful video. I think I may actually want to start wearing more dresses and skirts now. I’ve never liked the feeling or look of pants anyhow. What do you suggest for women who live more northern though, like during winter months? 😅 I like to take walks with the sunrise and sunset, maybe pants then? Lol.
Megan Fox (not the celebrity haha!) has a video about cold weather modesty! She and her family live In Pennsylvania. I think her videos complement well with This Mamas House!💕
Why do you have to submit to your husband? Are you not equal? My husband and I are both religious, been married 20 years and have 5 kids. He’s a great person and is secure enough not to need someone to submit to him. We laugh daily and help each other out. I love his advice and his level headedness and always consult him with a big decision but we respect is mutual and we submit to each other when needed. I will never resent him as I feel respected and would not be able to ‘submit’ to him but we are obedient to God only.
I am also melancholic as well. I loved todays video! I had no idea you never worked after you had children that’s amazing!!! I love working and have 5 kids but the lord has really been calling me to just stay home and make my family and home my top priority. So since December I’ve been fully home!!! 🌻
Curious: now that you only wear skirts, do you let your daughters wear pants? Do they also only wear skirts?
🌻Such a great q&a. I have 2 children plus homeschooling and household tasks and it seems like my husband and I can't find time for each other. But we surely try! I like your Sunday night method. Definitely something worth trying!! I worked for couple years of motherhood as a registered nurse because I had no other choice financially at that time. But, after years of praying and making adjustments and sacrifices my husband and I decided it was time to be a stay at home, home schooling mom. And I am so very grateful. 🙏
I loved this format of video from you! Great motivator to fold laundry and to always put hubby first. Both of which I need. 🌻
🌻love your channel! Thanks for sharing some information about yourself!
Thank you for spending some time here today ✨
love me a christian UA-camr. i am not American myself & the slang or chosen words rather sometimes confused me, but i am a christian and i love finding wholesome channels that praise Him in all His glory! ❤ Bless you!
🌻 i really enjoy your videos. You've inspired me and given me such motivation to put things into motion. Being a mother of 5 girls myself ive also struggled with finding balance and routine in our daily. Im so grateful I came across your channel. May God continue to bless you and your family 🙏❤️🙌🌻
The earplug hack is revolutionary why did I never think of that! Loved this chat
🌻Wonderful video! I’m looking forward to the one on skirts and dresses only. I made the same decision because I don’t want to “wear the pants” in our marriage and wearing pants seems to encourage that mentality, though you could argue to what degree it affects your mindset. Sometimes I get filled with doubt and feel like I’m exaggerating the importance of it and that I look like a frumpy grandma! It’s so wholesome to see someone publicly committing
Hi Tabitha! Been following you for a while. Wasn’t sure what to expect from the tittle of this video but since I connect with you I gave it a watch with an open heart. To preface I am Jewish, and child free by choice at this point in my life (although I’ve spent a lot of time being a nanny) I’m also in a partnership of 5+ years. Love this share. Also, we share an ideology which is if your partner is trying to create intimacy to go on and engage with it because I’ve never “not gotten in the mood” and I think it’s a really special feeling to know your partner is feeling satisfied. We’ve also found this idea around intimacy goes both ways. Anyway ❤
Loved your video ❤keep them coming. And I could listen to you all day 🌻😊
🌻 I could've kept listening to talk for another hour!y neighbor thought I was crazy for putting my kids to bed at 7:30/8. But they wake up at the same time regardless of when they go to bed. So might as well be early....lol💜🌻
Do they really? I am so worried that if I put them to bed earlier then I'll have to get up earlier.
Sadly for my children yes. I tried for over a year trying to see if I just put them to bed later 9, 10, 11 even... And still they just wake up at 6am. And refuse to go back to sleep no matter how many times I try to put them back in bed. 😭
My boys are 8 and 3. Btw. The 8 year old always has been a early bird. 3 year old just follows what his brother does since they share a room...
@@Buttercream580could be a good opportunity to let them learn about independence. While others are still sleeping, they can learn to occupy themselves, Playing with their toys quietly etc? Just spitballing
I looked at the temperaments, and turns out I'm phlegmatic! Reading through the description actually made me tear up a bit (why??) because it was so spot on with who I am. Also, I love watching your videos, and see you a wonderful role model! 🌻
🌻 Sunflowers were my late brother’s favorite flower. He passed in 2018. He was one of my favorite people on the planet and I miss him so very much. Anyway I love watching your videos!
🌻loved this video Tabitha!!
🌻 great video, Tabitha! I’m living vicariously lol
I have 2 young adults and a baby in heaven. I always wanted lots of children, but hubby was not really open to it. I hope the lord blesses me with lots of grandkids someday. Blessings to you and your precious family. ❤
🌻 Not able to have kids, but I love your videos-something very comforting about a lot of them, and it’s neat to see all the planning and day-to-day ins and outs of having a large family!
Natural family planning is also what we do. Fertility awareness method to be exact.
🌻I’m new to your channel and finding such joy in your content! Gods Blessings ✝️
I love these chat videos. Thank you for sharing. I wish, however, we could have watched the actual folding of the laundry in the video. It is very therapeutic. Have a blessed day!
I looked into temperament and I'm the same as you. I also did caregiveing for the elderly before having kids. I also was a massage therapist for 5 years. My boys got so sad when I left for work so I gave it up for the time being but hope to return when my kids are grown and out of the house.
I think its really beautiful that you're building a life that you love, that makes you joyful, and is in full alignment with your personal values and beliefs.
I recently found your channel and I just have to say, you are such an inspiration and a blessing. Thank you for your content!
Tabitha how do you manage home schooling and every day tasks?? You said your oldest goes to private school??? Do you feel she gets a better education than the home schooled children?
Wonderful video! Looking forward to your next "chat" Your love for God and family truly shines through in what you do 🌻
Love your channel and your godly momma content!🌻
🌻 love your videos! Can't wait to hear more about your homeschooling journey!
Respectfully Tabitha I don't think it's wise to tell women to... submit to your husband when not in the mood....this is 2023...I am a Catholic woman that buried one husband and met a widower....I know God had a hand in our meeting...I wasn't interested in another
Marriage after my loss..I am thankful but never would I submit EVER....it borders abuse.
I think maybe you haven’t had a positive example of what biblical submission is possibly? If you are a Catholic woman, do you believe everything the Bible says? It talks quite plainly about submission. 🤷🏼♀️
She’s not responsible for other women. Other women need to have a mind of their own.
A great chat-would love many more of these! Thank you.
I love hearing your insight into these topics! Your inspiring 🌻
I made it through! 🌻 Thanks for your videos, Cindy💗
🌻Thank you Tabitha! I loved listening to you as always😊
Loved your honest answers. I feel the same on so many topics. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your heart and for your honesty and candor 🌻
🌻 I literally folded laundry with you during this video! Thanks for the motivation!
What a great video! You are very wise godly. I love listening to your thoughts and advice :). I also love skirts and dresses, and wear them mostly (winter is a bit hard, though). I'm looking forward to that video.
🌻🌻 I feel like I needed to hear a lot of this. I'm glad you were thrown in my news feed. New subbie 🤗
🌻. I was just wondering do you wear a head covering for church? Great video
🌻 loved this seeing more of your values and personality
Nice laundry chat! 🌸
🌻 very insightful video. Thank you for answering all of these questions! 🥰
🌻🌻 that was really such a nice video THANKU !!!!!! You’re such a sweet person!
🌻 A phenomenal book I’m reading is “the power of a praying wife” I love it! Also- So funny.. My life group at church is doing the “I said this you heard that“ Bible study right now! I’m blue melancholic as well. I’ve never heard of this until four weeks ago when I got my book. It’s super useful for understand my husband who is full on green 😂
🌻
Thank you for this video! Loved learning more about you and your family and lifestyle
Thanks so much for watching!
The creighton model is a great NFP method as well for those searching. It is the only standardized method, that I’m aware, of that OBGYNS can get further training in. This can help them help you learn more about your health, fertility, and detect other health related concerns all by interpreting your charting. So wonderful we’ve used it for 7 years. Blessings!
That’s awesome! Thanks for the info
Great video!☀️🙏 I struggled emotionally and physically after my miscarriage and my (as of a few days ago😊) fiancé and I are going to be beginning the process of fostering/adopting in 2024. My dream is being a stay at home mom to 2-4 kids but as of now we just have our dog!
I genuinely love watching your videos and find peace from them, so thank you for doing what you do!💕
I have a primary of Melancholic and a secondary of Phlegmatic.
🌻 🌻 I am so thankful for you and your channel! You inspire me in so many ways. Thank you! ❤️
🌻thank you sweet mama. I have five from teen to a five month old baby. I know I will never be done! My hubby isn’t up for more, and I am now (a very fit) 41…. I still pray each day for guidance and things to go as God wishes, and he knows my heart and that I would love just at least one more! I am a number six of six and perhaps that is playing a part in my heart’s desires….. my husband is not a Christian but he honours my faith and I do pray for him. All love to you xx ps I also am that mama that wants to do it myself - just as well as there’s not a ton of support around me. But I wouldn’t want someone else interfering too much in how I do things! 🤣
I need to find more time for hubby and me. I know he sometimes feels left out of my attention simply due to busy ness (my eldest has special needs which take up much of the night also), so this is one thing I really need to work on.
🌻 nice chat Tabatha, hope your basket got emptied.
🌻 🌻 You have a very kind and grateful spirit. I look forward to your videos about homeschool and modesty! Bless you!
Great video. Thank you for sharing and being so honest with your answers 🌻🌻😊
🌻 Great chat, Tabitha!
Thanks for the talk really enjoyed listening to you! 🌻
🌻 really loved this video 😍 saw a different side of you in much deeper emotional way!
🌻🌻🌻🌻 I’m a fellow mom of 6 also and homeschool! Sending love and blessings! 🙏🏼💜
🌻 ❤ loved hearing all you had to say. Looking forward to hearing more about modesty and homeschooling
We use NFP as well! And it's wonderful!
No side effects, and above all, it strengths the bond between husband and wife. My husband does all the charting, (im lazy) he literally knows when I'll have my period before I do 😂😂😂
Can you also talk about how you plan for fertility? We have been trying for a while so would love to hear some advise.
Your outfit is adorable and so flattering! I want it too! I’ll have to check out Marshall’s. 😉❤️
Great chat!🌻
Good Afternoon and Happy Friday thanks for sharing your day ❤️❤️
Loved the chat 🌻🌻🌻
Enjoyed the chat!🌻
