Hello my fellow procrastinators, it is I, the person who's NOT the owner of this channel. You can call me potato. I'm just a friend who occasionally proofreads the videos here on kagelivery subs. This time I decided to do some subbing of my own, and they were kind enough to let me post it here, so enjoy some old Hakuouki event footage.
Seriously old tho, is that really 480p?? I've seen this video around for some time now, but I think it was never subbed in English (sorry if it was and I overlooked it orz), so I just did it on my own. Brace yourselves for my poor English skills, even worse Japanese, zero knowledge of accents in both languages, an occasional google translate on the Chinese subs stuck to the raw and lots of guessing. Enjoy~

Just hearing Heisuke with a low, deadpan voice broke me. Love how they all just exaggerated Kazama's drawl with a lot of "Hmmmmmmm".

Oh I’m so delighted by the way the Kansai dialect has been translated in the subtitles! “SISTAH AIN’T YA SLOW” made me HOWL.
Also, everyone as Kazama had me in tears. Literally sobbing, this is GOLD.

Yusa Kouji wasn't wrong with Kyoto being the capital city of Japan before though. It was, until during the Meiji Restoration era when the government decided to rename Edo to Tokyo and relocated the emperor there from Kyoto.
True. I think that was exactly the joke he was trying to make, picking up from the point Tori-san left off: "Kansai people think Kansai dialect is standard Japanese", almost like they think Kyoto is still the capital or something. Guess I should have added that info to the notes as well lol ~potato

Thanks for watching! Ishida San'yaku is actually the name of the medicine they're taking on this scene! It truly existed in real life, and it was manufactured by Hijikata Toshizou's family. At least that's what Google taught me hahaha
