I really love this.
The choice to record outside in the cold was really clever, it really adds to the song and the video. I hope to see more!
A capella keeps the appropriate starkness! Sopranos with breath-puffs over the fallen snow gives it new dimension. Nice.
Please, for the love of god, could you make a cover from "The parting glass" ? I think your voices would fit perfectly
How have they not done this yet!!
Parting glass similar to the assassins creed version would be incredible.
Hi y’all! We covered The Parting Glass on our first record, Spun Open. It’s available on all streaming platforms (here’s the Bandcamp link: themusicofhawthorn.bandcamp.com/album/spun-open).
@@hawthornmusic8282 the link isnt working anymore?
Couldn't be worse than this.
How is your channel so underrated? UA-cam's algorithm has failed again!
Cant stop listening to this. Beautiful and heartfelt rendition, thank you.
Beautiful!
Sweet voices
This makes me so happy.
You have no idea.
excellent work!
don't forget us, for the love of god, please just don't forget......
the middle one needs to be a little louder, but other than that this is golden
actual sirens
Holy shit yes
beautiful aryan women appreciating their heritage. Love to see it.

Hail Victory Comrade!
Stan would be proud
I found this a few days ago, and your cover is simply the most soothing one I've heard.
While being a somber tune, your voices added a very uniquely serene sensation to the song.
I have listened to it several times a day since I've found it, added it to a playlist, and will continue to enjoy this.
Thank you.
I can't overstate how wonderful this is - the song, the setting, the voices, the emotions, etc. Your solos were each so wonderful. In this dark time you remind me in some way of who I am. Thank you girls so much for this.
me: Psht, you'll never make a good Stan Rogers cover without a good Baritone.
also me, standing corrected: Nice!
Gorgeous. Love the video too, nailed the atmosphere. Keep them coming!!
Makes me emotional
If you are not Canadian I don't think people can really understand the meaning it has.
Right? Example, no one but a Canadian would catch Racing the roaring Fraser to the Sea at the core references driving the Fraser Canyon between Lytton and Hope. The Coquihalla didn’t exist. With the bridges gone it’ll be the main artery of B.C. for awhile, again.
x factor
WOW.
That was spellbinding.
Wow so mesmerizing. I love the arrangement, your voices, the setting. Really lovely thank you
Stan would cry if he had heard this…
These are amazing vocals. I'm floored. Amazing work!
This is so relaxing.
Extremely underrated
You are three angels, so beautiful!
Beautiful ladies with Angel voices. Awesome!
Beautiful voices singing a wonderful song,
it's a damn shame you only got 256 subs
a classic song that makes us canadian
not just for Canadians....greetngs from Okanogan valley, USA
It makes us canadian in our hearts for a moment. Or at least gives us a humanity bump.
Thanks Stan. And thank y'all. 🛐☸☯️🕉
Lovely, simply lovely
Beautiful song and beautiful lady
Brilliant :)
I just fell in love this this song.
Magnifique!
WOW!!!! Just a stunner
Damn Eleanor, I love the way your voice is up high!
thank you
Solid Gold.
Nice!
Your music is beautiful!
Beautiful
this was absolutely beautiful! would love to have the 3 of you as my choir coaches. I’m in the Puyallup High School choir (PHS) and we are the Puyallup High School Vikings. you’ll probably hear my name a lot from a lot of the Puyallup High School kids because I became the biggest star in the Puyallup School District which I’m proud to be their leader and lead them into a new era. if you guys would accept my offer for the 3 of you to be my choir coaches that would be amazing. and for the Puyallup High School Vikings as we always say GO VIKINGS!!!!!!!!
Beautiful voices and so very pretentious.
Why the last 4 words?
Very pretty, but it's a little too clean. Shanties are supposed to be raw, and heartfelt
I agree with the point that shanties are meant to be raw, but technically speaking this ain't a shanty.
@@LarboardAnimations9660 yes it is. It was written as such by Stan Rogers.
@@Mandolorian1001 Oh, I didn't know that. I always thought it was just plain Folk and not a shanty, Sorry.
I am a Stan Rogers fan, I just never really research into many songs.
