Dude, these vids are fantastic. I especially like the centering one you did! It seems to be the only vid on youtube that explains what you did wrong if xyz happens! Cheers again!
Loved your video. I'm taking an art class once a week and your videos are great to listen to in between lessons to keep everything fresh as well as learn new techniques.
Centering is more about just getting it into the middle. It’s also about homogenizing the clay. I have a video “more on centering” that goes through it.
Thanks for sharing! My thoughts are that spiraling would be creating uneven compression with the clay when coning up. Knowing what you know, would you let us know in a knowingly way just what you know about why spiraling during coning is bad, so we'll know some of what you know.....Thanks!
No one saw your collaring mistake - it was out of the view of the camera - lol. We did, however, enjoy your sound effects.

Good thing there’s no pecks and biceps necessary. Lol
Watching this after BTS RUN 😂💔
Your videos are great. I’ve learned more from you than my instructor.
Can you make one that shows the whole process? Beginning to end?
What happens if you get a spiral? Can you fix it by coning again?
Spirals are from moving up too quickly.
And yes you should be able to work them out by Corning up and down again.

A man who’s good w his hands.. (jk, kind of) hahaha
Why did you bother to collar at the 8:00 instead of just pulling more?
If I can center without coning up several times. Is the coning up really necessary?

Freddie Moretti it’s that spirals start to fold on back on themselves. Trapping stuff in the folds and such will add inconsistency.
Thank you Tim, always appreciate what others are willing to share.....have a grand day!
