- This feat of endurance is almost impossible to convey. Sean Conway is currently attempting to undertake something that no human will have ever done. 102 Iron Distance Triathlons in 102 days.
That is 3.8km Swim, 180km on the bike and finish with a marathon. For 102 days. Just let that sink in. It is an effort on the very limits of human capability and understanding. And Sean does it with a steely determination and incredibly positive spirit. It was inspiring to be just a small part of.

He broke the record yesterday. Massive congrats to Sean!
And he's still doing it. Wonder how many he will do until he finally stops.
modern record...
oh where is his proof that he really did all of this?\
@patrickgronemeyer3375 Strava (and people with him every day obvs)
😮
Real life Forrest Gump lol.
Ha ha he’s amazing! But yes totally the same vibes 😂
☝️#BetterTitle!!! Lol
Ahhahahabhahaa
I bet his hygiene is horrible, and I'm guessing this is the lever that gets pushed aside to enhance his goals 😂
Hey Messy, do a vid on your testosterone levels, is it true that runners have low testosterone, and would you be willing to show your bio markers for T?
I just felt like running!
Thanks for coming to run with me. Great video too. 🙏
Well done on making this video. Very little mention of Sean on social media, and he deserves much more coverage, so thank you for this video.
Those really long events generally don't get much attention like that french guy who crossed every continent except the arctic within a year. 80k/day on average. 8liters of water/day. Or the transeurope run. People are too fast-living for that🤷♂️
Yes people like Sean should be all over the news but we live in soft times where most can't even be healthy let alone challenge themselves
@@marks-0-0---- I agree most people don't challenge themselves, but this is so outrageous it borders on a mental illness. I've done more challenges in my 68 years than anyone I know, but somehow I find this more disturbing than celebratory. This man will have lasting injuries from this feat, and it will certainly not add quality years to his life. I wouldn't recommend this type of personal physical abuse on my worst enemy, if I'm being honest!
that fact he had a record to break is mind blowing
"I just have to chase something, and it has to be difficult. ...there's got to be an element of uncertainty on the outcome. If there's stuff that I know that I can do, I don't know, it doesn't get me out of bed."
Hell yeah! 💪
I was with him on day 32. Truly inspiring 👊
Who was with him on day 33?
@@colonelJ77 Me!!!😂😂😂 But I was in a car!!!!
@@dsc420247 so you drove behind him every day of this?
Fantastic video! Good luck on the quest! Enjoy watching you and Mary.
Thanks for making this - Sean is an absolute legend!
Did The London Marathon this year. I couldn't imagine doing a virtual marathon without the crowds and motivational support that you get from the real thing. Its such a mental challenge doing it with only yourself to get you through but ground hog day for 102 days, thats straight jacket mental.
Also ran the marathon in London and would not have make it without the London crowd, and this guy is doing it EVERYDAY! WOW
Goooo!
Thanks for raising the bar higher, this raises the world average this making each one of us stronger simply spectating.
Incredible, thanks for making this video.
The Gump beard is real, I thought it was a deliberate prop but when you only have 2 hours a day to eat and 💩 it all makes sense 😁
Ha ha this is all so true 😂
This is incredible! Will you keep your viewers up-to-date on his progress and let us know when he gets to 102?
According to Strava he finished his 98th swim yesterday, so looking good. 😮🎉😊
It’s great to see my local routes on the video!!! Great effort all round!!!!
Mind blowing! Incredible video thank you, what an inspiration!
Absolutely so much mental strength. What a tuff man.
Brilliant video, best of luck to Sean.
Thanks buddy 😊
Just mind blowing that anyone could attempt that and find the motivation day after day.
👏
This guy needs more coverage. Truly epic challenge. A true feat of human endurance. Hope he completes all 102.
He needs a psychologist that isn't afraid to give him the cold hard truth! His demons will still be there, even if he completes this exercise of self abuse!
epically epic
@@robertmuckle2985Haha not everyone that does things you don't like and that are physically demanding is mentally ill buddy. Of course he knows this will take a toll on his body, but it's his body, it's not yours.
I love watching your channel. I never know what I will see.
Ha ha thanks 😊
Speechless. The farthest I’ve run in one go is about 22 miles. I just can’t wrap my mind around it. I was watching a video about ultra runner Courtney Dauwalter, and she apparently hallucinates regularly during races. I’m sure Sean has had this experience and then some. It’s definitely an unearthly physical feat, but the mental strength is even more awe inspiring I think. I’d love to hear more about how he is able to push through the pain. That being said, you guys also blow my mind with all that you’ve accomplished. I’d love to hear your guy’s take on the pain cave as well.
Even I cant, the furthest I ever ran in one go was 102 miles in 15 hours 50 mins around the lake district (during Covid) but this is absolutely on a different planet, there is a degree of fitness you can achieve when it becomes mind over matter, BUT once wear and tear sets in there is no pushing through that without causing serious harm, I am very interested to understand how he can stay injury free for such huge lengths of time with so little recovery in between, and he doesnt look like a young chap (As in a 20 something). this is truly insane, amazing what the human body can do
@@jasonlee4267 Look at how he runs. He is incredibly skilled. He has mastered softening the impact of running.
I’ve been following him on Strava and it’s unbelievable. Some of the weather recently, a marathon is bad enough in that heat let alone with the swim and cycle.
When they brought out the global distance scale my jaw was on the floor lol simply amazing
Absolutely incredible!!! & what an amazing experience for you guys!!
Im looking forward to sharing some Kms with Pat Farmer who is currently running around Australia right now-I can’t wait!!
This man is a walking..... no RUNNING inspirational legend!!! What a set of achievements, just astounding!! Maximum respect! 💯🙏
Mmm. He is running, well just about, but would actually take less effort if he power walked.
Thanks for sharing this is truly inspiring ❤
Thanks so much 😊
Amazing!!
Incredible !!
Absolute madness. Run Conway Run!
That’s the thing about a good challenge.. not knowing if you’re going to be able to finish it. When you adopt that mindset you just go and work on it and if you fail you find out where your limits are. Win win.
Truly a superhuman effort and actually very hard to comprehend 😮😮
This is amazing 😲
Just amazing!
Was lucky enough to do the runs on days 36 and 37 with him.
What a boss!!!
So incredible, inspiring, and eliminates any excuses I have.
Thanks for sharing your journey and his!
Hi Ben, Mary I no we don't agree on afew things , your correct anything is possible get and push yourself to achieve what seems impossible .
Lol I can barely jog on my walks in the morning. Dude is amazing.
Amazing to watch! Very inspirational! A few questions that I wasn't sure if I missed in the video:
1. Are the bike rides done indoors?
2. How often does Sean eat?
3. What monitoring of his vitals is done to make sure he is healthy enough to continue?
Sean is a Legend..! 🏊 🚴 🏃♂️
Incredible!
9:30 Consider me inspired. Thanks for being you, Sean!
Epic.!!
Wow that’s amazing I use to think someone running 50 marathons in 50 days was insane this is definitely the new king.
Absolutely insane. The stats that you showed were just mind blowing. I cant comprehend resources and determination needed to make this happen everyday 😮👏👏👏
It’s almost incomprehensible. It’s just mad.
Göran Winblad just posted a video basically stating, setting a goal that you KNOW you can do isn't motivating. It's very similar to the answer Sean gave to your "why". Good advice from both gentlemen.
Wow 😮 that’s amazing ❤
That’s a real hero!🔝👏🦾
Astounding!
I've been following him on Instagram, totally amazing feat.
70k!!!! Congrats
Wow!!! He looks like he is handling the physical stress better than Iron Cowboy did.
I have no doubt also he will do it!
Good interview.
Also, why stop at 102? I mean it's not going to get you a nickname like Iron Cowboy. Rather if you're going to put 102 days into such a venture, beat it big. Maybe an even number like 111. Eleventy-one. Maybe then he can get a nickname like the Bilbo Tri-gins.
He’s such a beast
Inspiring.
Bonus : I laughed really loud from the 5:06 mark as I imagined he was riding his bike on some railroad tracks. I know he wasn’t, of course, but I was so entertained just to imagine he was.
It must be so hard to keep going. But the way I see it, is like someone working a super physical job(many people do especially nowadays in less fortunate countries), day in day out sometimes for years. The only difference is most of the time they don't have the choice to stop. But nevertheless it is absolutely mind blowing, well done !
.....I'm only 2 minutes into this video and I'm exhausted already !!
Jeez Louise. I'm following 'Hardest Geezer' Russ Cook trying to be the first man to run the length of Africa... he's doing just over a marathon every day... but this is levels above 🤯
I’ve been following this via strava and Facebook he’s inspirational to say the least he’s gonna make it definitely
Not Facebook Instagram 😀
Paul from Kodak - Well done Mate!
That beard adds a lot of swimming resistance too, making it even more impressive!
Amazing
this is magnificant, HOWEVER, as an ex trail runner and ex long distance runner who had to retire at only 41, I can say for certainty, that sort of over use on your joints, especially the knees will literally take decades of their life span, I wish you the absolute best though as this is mind boggling
Unreal!
Love it , will contribute some of his majesties finest drinking vouchers myself , thanks for sharing the link (looks like you guys are enjoying your Holiday )
Drinking vouchers 🤣🤣🤣
Awesome!!!! Congratulations! What is his diet?
A Canadian Terry fox ran halfway across Canada on one leg , averaging 42 km a day while battling cancer .
Amazing. Congratulations. Why did the other person stop ?
my it band hurts just by looking at him 😂
Glad I clicked on this as I was doing the math and there was no way he was just running that!
Then I seen triathlon 🥴
Great video. Also: Mary is fantastic
This guy is awesome. Have you seen Russ Cook too? Currently running the length of Africa. A marathon every day for over 300 days. Worth a look folks👍
It’s Groundskeeper Willy!
inspiring and crazy at the same time. Can this be still healthy? How are his joints? Just wondering... It is beyond anything I thought possible a human body can take without getting seriously long term damage
I know Sean's cousin, Sean has done some mad challenges previously! Swimming the length of Britain etc! Crazy!
Run Forrest run!
all i thought when i saw the thumb nail was , Run FORREST Run, lol.
I run day 75 with Sean his a true Champ 🫡
Well done Sean, I’ve been following this from the first week keep going can’t wait to see day 102 and your next adventure in the future
Doing TWO of these would be IMPOSSIBLE !!!! yep... insane
The final boss of zone 1
Run Forrest!
He’s like an even crazier beau miles
Me, struggling to finish a single sprint triathlon: ok then.
Russ Cook is having a rough day!
I would like to know more on the medical side. How is his recovery? Is there any long term damage after. How was he getting used for such volumes? It's unbelively demanding on joints and tendons. How does he keep inflamations down? Hell lot of pro athletes get tendonsis when they get big volumes.
It is 90% mental and 10% physical. Embrace the grind.
Run Forrest, run! 😂
Wow!
How do you avoid injury doing this kind of volume with zero rest days?
Bathe with Himalayan salts
I thought this was Russ Cook, the hardest geezer
I remember when James Lawrence completed the 100 Ironmans in 100 days & that was insane. Congrats on this man doing all that he has done. These guys clearly are able to not only go into the pain cave but also apparently make a dance out of it.
I thought it was Ben in a fake beard at the intro lol
I just checked. He's still going, Finished day 99. The last day is Thursday.
@@davidcod6024 okay, if he spent 20 of 24 hours everyday for 102 days doing an ironman triatholon, it would be incredibly impressive!! Only sleeping for 4 hours a day for 102 days by itself would be impressive. Of course it does not take that long, but I am sure it takes many hours a day. It's not about the speed, but the endurance. Think about the overall distance covered. Over 2600 miles run in a hundred days!! Now add many miles swum and over 14,000 miles biked!!!
What with this chap and the hardest geezer running Africa I feel I can never moan about aches again 😂
When I watched his 1st documentary on running the length of the UK, I decided to take up running and my goal was to run from Catterick garrison to Scarborough southbay 67 miles and I did it in 15 hours
why?
@PazLeBon why not ? Was inspired to challenge myself I lived in Catterick and came from Scarborough so made sense to me
I can't believe someone did 101!
Just amazing what people can do a guy near where I live Garry McKee done a marathon every day for a year 365 marathons and still worked as well he was in all newspapers and TV I did 5 with him not 5 consecutive 😂😂 it's amazing what people can do
David Goggins' brother from another mother.
weirdly enough, when hes finished it will be werid for him waking up and realizing hes not running an ironman today.
