Another Babyface & LA Reid Production, check out “Whip Appeal” by Babyface. Many of the tracks from Boyz ll Men, Toni Braxton, After 7, TLC, Johnny Gill… the list goes on are Babyface’s signature sound.
I want to correct you on who produced this song. This song and "Can We Talk" was produced by Babyface alone. Babyface & L.A. Reid had split up by then and Tevin was Babyface's first production by himself. I do think that some production quality was lost without L.A. L.A. was the primary beat maker when they were together.
Still my favorite Tevin song all these years later. He did his own background vocals. When he does it live the professional backup singers never sound as good as he does on his own track. He's one of the greatest and most underrated.
Heeyy.. you finally reacted to this lol.. my favorite song from him.... Babyface wrote this song when he was in junior high..Toni Braxton wanted this one, but Face gave it to Tevin..this is a classic..glad you got to hear it
Kevin was a brilliant vocalist to be so young. Other notable songs include "One Song", " Tell Me What You Want Me To Do", his cover of Prince's "Shhh", and " Always In My Heart".
Tevin is classic throwback 90s! His vocals are the bomb 💣 often imitated but never duplicated! You need to check out his debut single, Tomorrow (he was even younger 🙂). Quincy Jones produced it and it was my Jr High School graduation 👩🏾🎓 song!! 💙 Also check out Alone With You (one of my personal favorites 💣👍🏾😊) Round and Round (production by Prince, RIP 🥀), Always in My Heart, Just Ask Me To and Shhh (sexy cover of a sexy Prince song) You can’t go wrong with Tevin!! ✌🏾
You called him a man, but he was still a teenager when he sang this song. Which makes this even more amazing. He had such a gifted voice for his age. Listen to "Round and Round". It was produced and written by Prince and he also sings the background vocals. Great song also.
Tevin has to be one of the most underrated singers ever. He has exceptional range and vocal ability. His music still resonates with me after all this time. You should definitely check out "tell me what you want me to do" before his voice broke. Also "Always in my heart" another fav 😊
Next up: Tell Me What You Want Me To Do! And for extra fun, please check out "Round and Round" which was his first big hit (he was really young) - written and produced by Prince who's even in the video. One of my personal faves!!!
I love Tevin Campbell!! Yes! Definitely check out “Round and Round” which was produced by Prince, who is also in the video. Also check out the songs he did for Disney’s The Goofy Movie “Eye 2 Eye” and “Stand Out”
Hi Jay, you always make us rock the songs and enjoy, you always make the pertinent comments and help us in discoveries and travels about music, I love when new videos arrive, and it's very cool, and always a lot of fun to follow you.. Oh, and can I say?! you look very beautiful with this shade of blue today, u r show man! 😜
Hello! Friend, I have two super songs so you can listen and react, the first is From Richard Marx -Hazard- the second is From Century -Lover why - very good, you will like them both very much.
J, you have to watch the official video to "I'm ready" by Tevin Campbell. It will definitely put a smile on your face. Such a beautiful video. I personally will watch the video (on a regular) the video just makes my day, for some reason. Love seeing you, auntie has missed you reacting to R&B. 🤎🤎🤎🖤🖤🖤
Please react "Remember When" by Color me Badd. Color me Badd was a RNB/Soul boyband that formed in 1985. They were awarded as the "Best R&B/Soul group" back in the early 90s. "Remember Me" was their last song produced before they were disbanded in 1998. They're one of the most underrated boyband but one of the greatest!
We just don't get this these days....this was from that period where the feeling and soul was still in the music...from the heart. Stuff we get now sounds the same and is just lacking the feeling. This was just style and smooth.
Babyface the real mastermind and face of 90s RNB...imagine he sang all songs by himself.. he would be bigger than michael Jackson.. but hes still good in the legendary rankings
I came to recommend you react to a song by Sting which is very relevant today despite it being from 1985. The song is called 'Russians' and at the time it came out the Soviet Union was threatening nuclear war with the west...sound familiar? We were just as terrified then as we are now. Anyway Sting wrote this amazing song which will make sense to you now despite it being 40 years old.
Next one by Tevin needs to be “Tell me what you want me to do “ his vocals will blow you away
His vocals are like butter omg! He is so talented, love him!🤍
Tevin is a male version of Whitney houston , his voice is on fire🔥🔥🔥

YES and absolutely must check TWO OCCASIONS by Babyface's first group The Deele🔥🔥
This song was written by Babyface and produced by Babyface and Daryl Simmons & Babyface also sings background vocals.
Still my favorite Tevin song all these years later. He did his own background vocals. When he does it live the professional backup singers never sound as good as he does on his own track. He's one of the greatest and most underrated.

Kevin was a brilliant vocalist to be so young. Other notable songs include "One Song", " Tell Me What You Want Me To Do", his cover of Prince's "Shhh", and " Always In My Heart".
