All these new 1000 series from LTD are spec'd out heavily. I grabbed a TE1000 Black Blast.The string through wrap tail gives it a snappy tone that works great with the coilsplit switching options. You'd think it was actually a Tele if you weren't looking at it? I added a treble bleed curcuit and used a Mojotone capacitor to mellow out them pickups a bit in the screechy highs. I can dial the volume way back and it's excellent all the way down the range. Really made the guitar alot more versatile.
Awesome review. I'm actually weighing between this guitar and a Jackson SL4X. I have tried the Jackson, it's awesome. But this model, I couldn't test because of the interstate travelling ban in my country and have to rely on online reviews.. The look is awesome, the sound is awesome but I'm worried how it may feel in my hand. One question, are the strings hard and stiff , they slow down soloing?
I know you asked this three months ago, but in case you still need to know, the strings feel incredible on this. The frets feel like butter when soloing. It has sustain for days. I actually don’t like the purple finish at all, but the guitar played so good I bought it anyways. Good luck!
