It was pushed out the door too fast, but not because Eidos Montreal lacked vision. The real problem was SE UK, they created crunch to add microtransactions last minute, they forced the use of Denuvo, they created the Augment Your Pre-Order nonsense, they comissiones that garbage Breach mode (getting its trophies for a platinum was a harrowing experience) and didn't even let them make substantial DLCs (excluding A Criminal Past, that was really good). Its a fantastic IP with an all star dev team, but sadly its in the hands of an uncaring publisher (SE UK reportedly doesn't even care about the franchise). I really hope they get a chance to make more entries in the series.
He was pretty cool character, at first I thought he is just liberal arts degree hipster clerk but turns out he is cunning hitman. Didn't see it coming.
never knew this mission existed until i decided to replay this recently, that's what i love about deus ex, you always find something new with each playthrough. i ended up pissing this guy off and fought him but at least i succeeded the first speech check so the frag lasers downstairs didn't turn on lol
misternoobie it's like a adventure quest book. I'm going to enjoy playing over again. If their is good dlc I will probably get that too. But the game itself as is, is just a great experience. Plus I am new to it never played the others. I subbed so keep up the good content 👍
I hope they create a new sequel. I played this game over 3 times aready. Just to finish all the quest. I like games like this where too many random stuff happen. And THANK YOU SO MUCH! :)
I think this is probably the speech battle that is most similar to human revolutions speech battles the Cassie system isn’t an I win button cause the hardest part is getting to the part to trigger presuaion in the first place you have to read the dude you’re dealing with way more then having to look at a zodiac sign chart intensely
I wanted to get this result but he annoyed the fuck out of me so I shot him with the stun gun... then he appeared in Adam's apartment so I killed him. Other than that, I played the whole thing stealth. This one guy just got to my nerves lol
when i did this i disarmed the bomb knocked out walker threw in the basement with the bomb rearmed the bomb and stood upstairs, walker survived being 1 inch away from a human time bomb blowing up
The little things that this game do are cool, like this sidequest, but no matter how cool the sidequests or mechanics are, it's not able to cover the lack of story and character development, making almost everyone that finished the game with the feeling of: "wait, thats it?". We dont get to see how our boss is doing if we save him, what happened to the augmented girl from our job, or even some more backstory from the rival with no aug. Seriously, what happened to those people? We dont even get to explore the city once we finish with the game.
sorry, I was just reading your comment and touched reply in the process... and since it happened so... I hope it'll all be answered in the third one, if they're going to make it. Would be the change from mechanic augmentation to nano ones.
Dao Khiem they *are* gonna make it, and thats what pisses me off. When you make a new game you go for a sequel with an entire different story, you finish what you need to finish in the previous one and make a new enemy for the next. But all they are doing is cut the content in half and selling the other half as a new game. In mankind divided you fight only one boss, and he turns out to be only a puppet, there is no satisfying ending cause you didnt catch/kill anyone that is actually relevant. Worst thing its that there are people who defend the fact that they got half a game.
How come I never get the Casie option? I have casie, always activate casie very early on in the game since I like to use it on Rucker. By the way, I shot this guy couple of times with the combat rifle at point blank range, and he still showed up at my apartment later
I first cloaked to get by and he set up thermal and emp mines and pulls a 10mm handgun on me I hastily defuse the guy with explosives strapped on him and get the reader, he's waiting for me outside I pin him right to the Fuckin' wall with a Nano blade him groaning in agonising pain. after that playthrough I tase him with the Tesla module. get the reader and he has the audacity to come into my apartment with a gun "no hard feelings right? a job's a job" mind you a bit of a hardware upgrade a 5.56 rifle lol. on the other note I Love the connection Eliza has re-established with Jensen hope either she's around for Deus Ex:Trinity or Deus Ex:Humanity Desecration. maybe it will be like Halo where Jensen the Hardened Operative and Eliza the A.I inside his head. I've always highkey shipped Jassan :3
Not gonna lie i found out this mission on my 4th or 3rd play through. Playthroughs where I went all "shoot first no questions" If had done this on my 1st, I would of let him go. Love this game!
I'm trying to get it peacefully. I'm doing like in the vid, but that piece of crap wants to shoot me every single time. Tell me u get the trophy also if you kill him because i'm becoming very disappointed.
Sebuz Sebaz Be aware that if you knock him out, he will come back and storm your apartment later with 3 or 4 other men. You can knock him out again there. lol
Sebuz Sebaz Wishing you the best for the plat trophy! There are a lot of side quests in this game. Sometimes it is just so fun to kill the pesky enemies.
You can kill him while maintaining the pacifist status by luring him into the cops. See here:

Thank you.
Giving credit to the blues while being a smug asshat, brilliant!
"You'll never see me again, I'll disappear."
*walks outside and leans against a wall next to the place*
And then hangs out in the basement of Svobody Beer for the rest of the sequence.
“no hard feelings, for job is job”
* pulls out gun * TENSION DETECTED
in wolfenstein's case: *SIGNAL DETECTED*
Funnily enough the name of the (beautiful, darkly majestic) music track playing in the background of the scene is Tensions Rising...
this game was really underrated I think, it's really sad that it's not getting another game or anymore expansions, fuckn love it.
It will get one but it is not one of the priority of the company, sadly. But if there is a 3-5hr DLC, i will definitely play it!
It was pushed out the door too fast, but not because Eidos Montreal lacked vision. Good news dude, new deus ex incoming!!
@@iwuvu5940 of course it is
@@iwuvu5940 the real question is wether or not it’s made by the same guys that did mankind divided
This was one of the best parts of the game.
I agree. Knocking him out in Adam Jensen's apartment was also one of the best!
@@misternoobie that almost had a comedic element to it in my playthrough as it was the second time that day that I had used the stun gun on him
It's so awesome when you're able to go on a different path, it makes you look so badass.
The music build up is great too.
Last time I played this mission, I used CASIE. And after conversation, I put him to sleep.
This guy, I like him
Really? First time i heard someone who likes him. Most of the comments that i saw in the other videos were all bad things about him. lol.
yeah well they do not know what they are talking about lol
misternoobie like him too.
Do surprised me when he pointed the gun at me after he pressured me to go to the basement.
He was pretty cool character, at first I thought he is just liberal arts degree hipster clerk but turns out he is cunning hitman. Didn't see it coming.
Just like the original, the game gives you freedom to make choices that affect your future. Love that in games!
I love this game so much. And the side quests are just as great and well written. Such an excellent game
never knew this mission existed until i decided to replay this recently, that's what i love about deus ex, you always find something new with each playthrough. i ended up pissing this guy off and fought him but at least i succeeded the first speech check so the frag lasers downstairs didn't turn on lol
I threw a knockout grenade into the building and finished the mission without even having to talk to him.
Seriously like this game.
Me too. Too many secret things that won't be discovered during the first playthrough.

Seems like they found a way of keeping the quality thorugh all the saga, that is to be commended.
More life paths in this one quest than all of cyberpunk 2077
I still have an old USB version of a Zip drive laying around.

didnt know you could just let him walk away but then the actual store clerk is down there tied up next to a bomb :(
I wanted to get this result but he annoyed the fuck out of me so I shot him with the stun gun... then he appeared in Adam's apartment so I killed him. Other than that, I played the whole thing stealth. This one guy just got to my nerves lol
Yeah. After i got the trophy/achievement for pacifist, i wrecked him on my 2nd and 3rd playthrough. He is very annoying.
when i did this i disarmed the bomb knocked out walker threw in the basement with the bomb rearmed the bomb and stood upstairs, walker survived being 1 inch away from a human time bomb blowing up
Woahh. I did not try that. That's some glitch right there. lol
How do you disarm the bomb?
Then he goes to a bar and becomes a nice guy. 😂

this guy came back to my apartment and killed me lol
If you knocked him non lethally he will come back. But you will get the chance to knock him out again;which is satisfying!
I've killed him by Nanoblading him to a wall triple tapping with some 10mm you are Avenged Brother

I've beaten this game dozens of times & I'm still finding side missions I've never known ab lol
Wish there were more moments like this in the game and does this make anyone else think of fallout 4
I actually like games with these moments and multiple choices.
After i failed to rescue bomb explosives, ill just use stun gun without even talk to him. Best skip ever
I’ve played this game MANY times, but I’ve never seen this. What mission?
