Yawn... why can't some people move on and listen to what makes them happy? You liked them in the past, you don't like their newer stuff, that's fine. But why bother commenting and saying it sucks, that it's all about money (as if they didn't have enough to have retired ages ago lol)? If they were really your favorite band you'd show some respect. Just can’t get on with the drums. Too often they are flabby sounding, over complex or in appropriate. I mean DM don’t do rolls down the kit, that’s unsympathetic drumming and detracts from everything else. Would be far better with the tape deck again and as a 3 piece. I know he’s a friend but cut the ties it devalues the final product it really does. Let’s put it this way the don’t use him on the albums even when he has had writing input. All drums should be Alan simplistic styling or only use him on newer stuff.
As a drummer myself, I agree. I don't even mind the live drums as such, but just locking in a solid, good sounding groove without all the embellishments would suffice.
Boring boring, same as last tour. Man I wished they would just forget about all the new stuff and just play the stuff they are famous for. I took my son who loves all of the early stuff as I do and what we saw that night we ended up walking out. Playing keyboards myself they had everything all on back track and basically played over it. Dave is singing live, drums are overkill, versions of their best songs sounded dull and uninspired just like this show. No one wants to hear this new stuff and anyone who thinks they are seeing the real Mode and paid 500+ in my opinion is a ripoff. Rehashed, boxed, redundant, throw in mostly boring new stuff and you have a train wreck of a show like this. Thankfully I passed on this concert and will be left watching all of the great shows they did before on UA-cam. They sullied their whole image and sound trying to be relevant but I’m afraid those years are long lost. Still my favorite band and will always be my favorite band.
Believe it or not dave was at his best during the songs of faith and devotion tour when he was on herion sad but true so much energy and what a voice back then
