These are hometown guys for me and I'm friends. To add to this I would like to mention how Kind, humble, and down to earth they all are.
Gotta be one of my favorite songs when it comes to drums. For any band for that matter. Plus its Hum, so the tone is amazing all around. I hope to one day upload a bunch of drum cover tributes to this band.
This is probably my favorite album from the 90s. Not a bad song on it. Thanks for breaking down the lyrics on this one. I haven't ever really thought deeply about this song and it just gained a new dimension for me.
Hum is a severely underrated band. But those who know, know. Great song. Rest in peace to Ryan St. Pere.
One of my fave songs of theirs. Best lyrics of his.
Agree with every word of this comment. Thanks for giving this your time. - Andy
Amazing reaction! Hum is my favourite band and I’ve been listening to them a lot recently.
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it, and that you also love Hum. This album is one of my favorites from that decade. Have a great day! - Andy
Good tune, the band is new to me, enjoyed the show cheers all!
This entire album is just transcendent
Thanks so much for giving this a watch and dropping a comment. It’s one of my favorite albums of the 90s. Be well! - Andy
Nice one! Love the drumming.
The American robin and European robin are unrelated species. Both are notable songsters.
"Robin, the batmobile won't start. Go the batstore and get a new battery."
"Errr, Batman...what's a tery?"
Rimshot, kick, clap, hold. He’ll be here all night, follks. Try the veal. Thanks for the laugh, Mike. - Andy

Enjoyed that, equal parts Cocteau Twins and Pavement. Good stuff.
I forgot to mention Pavement in my reaction - good shout bringing them up.
Cheers, Jon.
What a fantastic description!
Good pick Andy, I haven't listened to Hum for many years. This brings back memories, I loved their first 4 albums, "Astronaut" for me being their peak. They did reform a while back, releasing a new album in 2020 but I've not really given that a listen. Think it's time I did! Cheers Jon & Andy, keep up the good work!
I am so glad you enjoyed this little nostalgic stroll down memory lane, HB. It is one of my favorite albums from my teenage years, and I consistently revisit it to this day. The first time I heard the drums finally serge into focus in "I Hate it Too" I thought I had a religious experience. Thanks for dropping a comment, sir! - Andy
As great as this album is. The follow-up, Downward Is Heavenward is so lush, yet so powerful, that they managed to progress from phenomenal to utterly unbelievable... IMHO.
I actually like downward more and also just got around to listening to Electra 2000 and that is an awesome album as well.
Couldn't agree more. Listening to this song with headphones for the first time was almost overwhelming how rich everything was.
