Really tempted to get a TL4 for my SP5…. Currently running a PERST 3 and a Modlite but it is just so big and powerful of a setup for a PCC. I am really debating on just grabbing one of these…
It’s a great match for it - you can see how I run it on my ap5 in the video and it works perfect. And yes the perst is really bright for those PCC distances
I also have both. The GL4 is best for a SBR/Pistol build under 14" barrel where you are going to be pushing out to 300 yards, please dont give me this 600 yard NODs bullshit..with either of these or with any pistol SBR, that isnt happening except against paper. The VIR2 is best for a side arm with RDS. Both EFL keep the IR down range where its needed, and doesnt flood the front autogating the NV. At about VIR2 is a better dot when you set them up and walk down to compare them at 100+ yard ranges, but again the VIR2 just doesnt have the IR light for that. The VIR2 has never lost zero when I changed battery. The GL4 is front loading. Use Florescent paint to mark the switch helps on the GL4.
The GL5 only has a visible light. If you need an IR light combined with an IR laser, the GL5 is not even an option. But in regards to white light, Lumens are not the best indicator of for useful light. Candela is more important to most people since you want intensity in a specific direction.
Good comparison. Thanks for the video!

The gl4pro with focusing lens reflected off of suppressor too much so I got rid of it. The leak of IR on the side sucked.

400 lumens is crap. The GL5 has 1000.
