The best tip in this entire game is to not get baited by people using all their options to bait an attack out of you (hovering above you). Don’t throw out an attack until you see the person use all their options and they have to come back down. You’ll hit plat in 30 minutes ☠️
That Is A Pretty Good Tip For All Levels, But Being Able To Adapt To How Much Movement Your Opponent Has When They Often Attack You Is Also Vital.

Most important tip is being calm while playing, if you're tilted and losing matches and continue playing matches, you WILL keep losing.

3rd tip is especially helpful. One thing that I learned while playing Brawlhalla is that not every move requires a response, often times letting yourself fall will get you out of a lot of combos because your opponent is anticipating a dodge or a jump

another thing is dont get TOO comfortable dashing all the time, it really messes with your spacing. for example dont always dash before you attack because you'll just overshoot every time

That. When I was low gold I was doing non stop and I was unable to do any progress. When I stopped doing useless things I got my peak more than 400 ELO higher in few days of practice and just some hours of ranked grinding with almost a win streak. Dashing as much as you can is probably the worst tip you can get
I want to rephrase because this is pretty vague
1) Do dash a lot but also mix up movement so you aren’t as readable, when you dash a lot also make sure you’re still being sentient enough to read your opponents and dodge accordingly, use your dashes to create good attack opportunities and make good spacing
2) Don’t have a dodge pattern. Dodging in is not a bad thing until you do it every time you get hit, like the same with soot dodging. Mix up your dodges and diagonal dodges are usually the hardest to punish, you can also use your dodges to create pressure and good attack opportunities
3) What he said is good, but a better way to looks at this is pay attention to your opponent and what position he is and what options he has, from there you can position accordingly. when you’re offstage and you’re pressured don’t spam jump but instead use the amount of recovery options you have to space out each Jump and mix up how you recover back on stage

I recently got out gold. One tip i have is use off edge legends like asuri and if your good with greatsword then mako. Or mordex since they got two great ledge weapons
Hey 1900 Elo here the dashing is definitely for golds but once you get to where I am I found out changing paces can also throw off your opponent. Hope this tip helps others❤
Yes! I didnt start doing this till 2100ish, so i put it in my diamond guide. it is overall better to dash in certain situations and not dash in others. that being said, good to practice and get comfortable with how dash works!

Not too much dashing is benificial. You forget to move without dash and even for close attacks, you dash and mess up everything. Besides dashing, you should catch the momentum without dash as well.
Agreed, But Up Until Diamond I Think Players Should Be Getting Really Comfortable With Dash. Then When They Get Diamond, They Should Work On Holding Back On Dashing Imo

Hehe, I Gotchu. Some Very Important Things For Silver Players To Work On Are Learning Your Weapons True Combos. Trying To Use Dash, And Not Panicking Offstage. You Have A Lot Of Options. Take Your Time And Feel Free To Use All Of Em If Needed!

These are basic tips but here’s a gem. Learn the ranges of every attack or at least have a good idea of how far an attack has to be for it to hit you and for you to hit them.
Also panic sigging is easy wins stop doing it if you don’t want to be punished repeatedly.

I'm not hard stuck gold, but I am hard stuck plat because I keep getting diamond players in my matchups for weeks after seasons start. Its super fucking annoying.
youre falling into a common mentality for ranked. you maybe have run into a few diamonds that are late to the season, but not all of them are. some hit diamond in 2s and arent good enough to be diamond in 1s or they could be washed diamond players. you have to be able to beat these players to be diamond, so dont lose the match before it starts. there are so many explanations to a border and avatar.
I never rlly play ranked but the one time I did placements I got gold. This video made me realize I could easily get plat lol.
I just don’t take the game too seriously and I think ranked makes the game stressful and not fun.

Started 2015 quit 2020 rejoined a week ago i was 8x plat on ps4 now on pc i dont play much and i never enjoyed ranked due to anxiety and rage. Playing with plats and diamonds regularly will help golds. Diamonds are crazy but you can still learn something and ask questions and copy their style. I learned weapon throw combos and double chasedodges ontop of true combos and bread and butter strings woth platform dashing (helps for faster groundmovement too) and slowly became play without knowing it by trying to play like a diamond. Now i just play for fun. One of my downfalls was always going for clips or extra stuff when 3 sairs would kill.
Dodging in and Spot dodging are two of the worst dodge options to do in game. Most reads comes from either a in dodge or spot dodge. I can take a stock from white with just one of those reads with my cannon(Diamond). Mixing up your dodges is the best way to avoid being read. You can even surprise them with a wake up GC move but be careful of those! Good luck!
I agree, but i will say spot dodge can be pretty hard to punish if they mix up gc’s depending on what weapon it is

4th tip don’t gravity cancel unless you are sure you are going to hit or can’t be punished because the dodge cooldown is much longer
Yeah i keep fighting Platinum and diamond players everytime i get close to getting out of gold i have to fight the most try hard diamond players putting me right back to the spot i was at a hour ago
The Biggest Thing Going On With This Is You. You Are Losing Before The Match Even Begins. Your Opponent Is At That Same Elo As You For A Reason. If They Have A Diamond Or Plat Border It Could be Due To Them Getting Carrried In 2s, or Having Someone Else Playing For Them. Just Keep Calm, And Remember They're As Good As You!
Now my brawlhalla is laggy so now when i think i killed someone or when they walked off stage i end up dying or somewhere else Entirely

Its common sense to high elo players, but a lot of gold players and sometimes even plat players neglect it. It is something that every gold should be working on lol

#1 tip i have for new players or players who wanna get better in the long run is to react in the moment and play confidently, playing with confidence is a good habit and when you react to your gameplay you get immediate feed back, use ur brain, not tips, figure your own way to improve and get around specific things your having trouble with.
I used to be really good with movement in brawlhalla i could even do a multitude of cmbo strings i ended up leaving the game around when canons where introduced and now im terrible at the game and cant seem to relearn anything i used to know

Be careful when dashing! When you dash you commit into the direction you're facing and you can be punished!
Honestly, I want hold players to dash as much as they can, so they can get used to dashing. Once you get diamond I think thats when you should start to worry about dashing less!

When I upgraded from silver to gold it was because I incorporated 2 /3 of these tips the dodge pattern I'm still trying with I've even gotten good with chase dodging to help with movement when recovering of stage right now I am mainly focusing on improving my dodge reads getting some of the more difficult true combos down and predicting players moves as a defensive and general stratage I'm currently mid gold do you think I will need More then what is practicing on to get out

I personally dont think think that a Gold player should concentrate on dashing as at that level its only gonna confuse him. People should start learning that when they hit plat and understand how the game works.

Well You Have Chase Dodges! After You Hit An Opponent You Can Chase Dodge In Most Directions(Not Behind You). Then Jumping Slowly Can Create That Affect! ALSO If You Have All OF Your Movement, You Can Dodge First Then Slowly Use The Rest Of Your Movement. You're Dodge Should Be Back By The Time You Run Out Of The Rest Of Your Movement!
You don't need any of this to get out of gold really. You can be any rank in brawlhalla literally if you just know how to punish effectively.

eh, its kinda how you play it that makes it like that! Passive players like to give up a lot of space, so i just play for space. The game doesn't go by fast, but its atleast way more fun

I agree That Spamming dash is bad for overall gameplay, but until you're diamond you should be dashing as much as you can to get comfortable with it. Then Learn To Hold Back On How Much You Dash Later.
Not exactly since one of my earlier problems was over using dash even when I was in low plat but maybe it’s just preference

So I Do Have A Guide On How To Get To Diamond, So Make Sure To Check That Out. However, Against Katars Spear And Cannon Watching Your Dodge Is Very Important. One Thing To Make Sure Of Is That You Don't Panic Dodge In Towards Stage When You're Hit Off The Map. However, Generally Movement Is The Most Important Thing In The Game. Make Sure You Got All The Basics Down, And That You Also Are Able To Consistently Jump Fastfall And Do It In Directions! Then Try To Implement Them Into Games.
