I have actually read the section in project 2025 about NOAA. in no way does it suggest simply doing away with the agency. It does recommend combining some of its functions with functions from other agencies and some ways to make it more cost-effective.

It is very easy to read it straight from the text on page 664, bullet 5. Very enlightening as well to also read the surrounding background information where the motivation becomes plainly obvious: to eliminate environmental restrictions on industry. A start is to disable NOAA to eliminate much of atmospheric research and the free dissemination of climate information along with its possible underlying implication that automobiles and industry have had a significant impact on climate.
