I wish SEGA did more stuff like that. Make the simple stuff look cooler than it should, it fits Sonics attitude and personality.
This feels more like Rush than Advance. However I love rush so I’m not complaining...

Rush was an advancement (hah) in Advance's formula, so it's more or less the same thing.

Personally, i think it's pretty solid, i really like the large amout of movesets that every character have.
Not a huge fan of the camera, it really struggle to follow the character, this is a demo so, it's not a big deal.
EDIT: 0:46 this move was so cool to perform!
I would say this is quite the quaint game and I luv it 😺

@@princemanicthehedgehog you do realise the pressure,budget limitation and possible difficulties sonic team faces (sega doesn't make sonic,sonic team does which is only 5 people),sonic team is not responsible for the style of the game they are given strict orders they can't ingnore or create from thier own imagination ,on the other hand the creator has all the time all the budget he sets and all the creativity he has.The fan game is better than official and sega needs tto hire this man clinche is really annoying because you don't think about possible difficulties sonic team faces.
It's a good concept.

def, it'd be one thing if it was like how the classic games let the camera lag behind to make sonic seem faster, but this is borderline autoscroller

Sonic advance 4 is what we should have gotten on the 3ds.
This looks beautiful and I grew up with advance games so this is exactly what I would have wanted.

I consider Sonic Advance to be the real Sonic 4
I consider Sonic Rush to be Sonic Advance 4
And I consider Colours DS and Generations 3DS to be respectively Rush 3 and 4.
And considering Classic Sonic is playable in Gens 3DS, it actually loops

still in mania it didn't happend for that long, only a few secs at best before snapping back to sonic

@@MG1.Q4 yeah the classic games did it better you had to be going at the at most limit for around 10 seconds this is a bit unsettling.
Thank you Blue Vivacity for the Demo play through. Last night we went through and fix the camera panning We did not know that the camera panning was still an issue. We lost a lot of team members on this project, and upon there departure information was miss lead to us due to arguments between team members. We wish we did not have this issue a apologize for the camera panning. We hope you will try our updated fix version. And Thank you agian 😄
Can you tell us the all of the music you used for the stages?
This is single-handedly one of the most stylish fan-games I've ever seen. The wall-run (0:54), QTE (1:58), and whatever that new move was (0:46) really make you feel like you're playing the intro of Sonic CD or something.
My only complaint is the name. Fan-made sequels where they just add a number at the end (E.g Half-Life 3, Sonic Adventure 3, NFS: Underground 3) always leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Oh and uh... Also, there's a bit too much going on on the screen, and the camera is wack, but other than that, this seems like a really good game. We could really use a lot more 2D fan-games with the GBA art style! Especially since 2D games are a lot more manageable and easy to finish than 3D.
This game looks sick as hell.
I enjoy games where characters have plenty of moves available to use it just expands their playstyles.
But , God it's too overly detailed , to the point where it's hard to look at in my opinion .

I think the flashing when they boost is messing with your eyes why you say that.
Literally is the only thing that's bothersome to me as I'm typing this on my phone the screen is constantly flashing.
It's already dimmed because it darkens the screen when you reply on mobile lol.
@@xRagingxDemonx , yeah the boost Is kinda flashy , but what I meant is how you can see they clearly stacked a bunch of backgrounds on top of each other in a bizarre way , to the point where it's just distracting you from the foreground. You get what I mean , or is it just me ? Lol

I see the moving background and it is layered but that's how a lot of the games are.
@@xRagingxDemonx , how can you focus on sonic when the entire screen is filled with too many bright colors and flashy lights ? you can even see the Greenhill zone background is ripped from mania and has a lot of colors and details added to it , that it just looks like a mess in my opinion. .., I'd prefer to keep it a bit simpler so you can , you know.. play the game without getting a headache ? Again , just my opinion.
The Advanced series was always my favorite 2D sonic series in terms of visual style and I wish we'd gotten more of it.

A weird slash interesting mix of sonic rush and advanced
I feel like this game revolves mostly around the boost characters. Right now the level design feels like it really inconveniences those without the boost. Sometimes there are just enemy placements that slow the pace down for non boost characters. Like in Amy's playthrough, there were a few enemies placed right in front of the boost pad, which would be simple for sonic or shadow since the boost mechanic is their playstyle, but not for other characters like amy or tails. But aside from the wonky camera and level design, this game looks really pretty and fun
Remember when Lilac from Freedom Planet was a fan character from Sonic?
The game has a lot of praise, only problems are the camera not keeping up with you and the buggyness with radical highway

I'm not complaining about the boost formula(loved it in rush), but it doesn't feel like Advance anymore

This game somehow made the homing attack and boost make sense (within level design)
Some people seem to forget that sonic advance 2 had the boost feature, the only difference is that you had to build up speed depending on the amount of rings you have and your vulnerable... Unless you curl into a ball.
I know what you mean but that is not a boost
... that's not boost, my guy. That's just max speed and every character has it. Boost is sonic (maybe blaze) only.

The boost was introduced in sonic rush actually ... advance 2 is sort of like the mach speed sections in 06 .
It feels like I'm watching the 2d sections in unleashed/generations... So damn good
Yeah feels like a mix of them as the main concept for advance and rush relies on speed and just free running
Green Leaf Hill Zones Background Looks So Good!
I'm loving this *advanced* moveset! All jokes aside, I really want Sega to implement something like this in the next sonic game
Looks great, love the music and the energy of it my only complaint is the camera if that was fixed would be amazing!
This really takes me back to my teenage years and sneaking my GBA into school and playing Sonic Advance at lunch. Epic project!
This is actually really great! I would also want to have Boss Fights for Act 1 and 2 and 3, like in Sonic's Scorched Quest. Also, have Cream and many more being playable!
Can I just say that Angel's model was really well made?
Sega just needs to hire the fans to make their games from now on, the fans always make such awesome games. The Advance trilogy andthe rush games were some of my favorite games.
I love it and would love it if someone had made a GBA fan mod or hack for this fan project to get the entire feel
3 things this needs to be better:
1. A camera that keeps up when your not boosting
2. A more smooth/faster wall run/climb
3. Being able to run up any wall (maybe link it to your boost if you don't want it to be op)
aside from that this game does suffer from your typical "game overcreep" aka too much crap going on at once, but I personally like that kind of stuff if its done with passion so hopefully this game gets updated sometime soon! :D
Right, this game shows the massive power, different habilities and crazy speed of any character, for example, it's faster than the camera!

They could've done without the tutorials and the camera has trouble keeping up, but this is great otherwise. Very pleasing to look at, and the music is nice too. Really good fan game :)
If the camera panned slowly when you only move fast, it'd be a lot more similar to old games

I love this and it was totally awesome that they kept the after image effect. I just think the camera tracking needs a little work. But if it can be rectified in settings then no complaints here. Great game

I would like state a fact that most have probably have seen. This fan game as basically all mechanics from old sonic games: rainbow rings, grind hopping, boost, homing attack even sonic unleashed’s quick time wall jumping.
I definitely want to play this game anytime, anyday.
I got no complaints, the demo looks amazing. Just wish the camera would stop giving me Dark Souls flashbacks.
That boss soundtrack has ParabeetleX all the way over it... Not complaining.

The game is amazing. I loved that they included the boost, it's great. Nothing more to say beyond the obvious that they have to polish like the rockets and the camera. Excellent fangame

I really like that. Every character has a different use for the gauge instead of just boosting. I really like that idea being put in practice.

This is really cool! Besides the camera issue, the game is a like combination of the Genesis/Megadrive, Advance, and Rush games all in one.

I thought this was just called Advance 4 because of how little Sonic stays on screen.

This is actually really solid. The only bad thing is the camera which just doesn't work sometimes.
And the bad level design that are only beneficial to boost characters.

I think the developer of this fan game needs to go back and play the advance series, this feels less like "Sonic Advance 4" and more like "Sonic Rush 3".
I really like the game but since it's a demo, it does have a lot of problems. I think the levels should be adapted to each character because Amy couldn't do the level where sonic was, and she was always crashing into robots because she doesn't have the boost, so yhea.
Also, I love the new character named Angel, she is pretty cool.
This looks incredible. If you ask me the boost doesn't really work for the advance style, the map design doesn't seem to work with it and the camera literally can't keep up half the time. The advance mechanic where characters enter a boost-like state after maintaining top speed for a while is a great alternative that might work better in my opinion, rather than having a "boost button", it makes it feel more earned. Also the 1 second delay before an enemy is destroyed seems a bit awkward, having it be an instant poof is more satisfying, especially with homing attack chains.
This feels like a real sonic game but just the boost makes it better
