I loved the Shining movie growing up! I thought the television adaptation was decent. However, it wasn't until a few years ago that I finally read the book, and I was blown away at how amazing the book was. I viewed the movie in a different light after that. The movie is great, but the book is so much better in my opinion, and greatly different from the movie adaption.
Yes, they are both great in their own way. It's almost hard to compare them because they are so different (but similar). I haven't read Doctor Sleep yet, but I liked how the film bridged the gap between King's novel and Kubrick's film. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Directors like hitchcock, scorsese, spielberg just to name a few greats were clear with what they present and the finished product is clarity without confusion But kubrick was rarely clear in his film career So the finished product can't be enjoyed thoroughly The height of confusion is eyes wide shut, like seriously what the f are you trying to say?
