May I also add this helpful information
To test your remote is working before attempting your repairs simply aim top of remote at your camera on your phone and press buttons on remote , the phones camera will show remote lighting up as you press buttons that your normal eyesight cannot see as its infra-red and we can't see this but camera can !!
This is a great way to check if all buttons on remote or remote itself are working and even if your unsure about the batteries 👍

Well what d'ya know! Had problems with number 2 button for saved long press channel. I tried your trick to remove batteries and press and hold power button for 20 seconds and then press down hard on all buttons. Put back batteries. And as if by magic, my remote is now working perfectly. Saved me prizing it open to I thought I might clean with IPA. Worse case scenario would be to buy a new one. Now I don't need to. Well…I went the unplugging route, plugged it back in and now have no signal. Hmmm…guess I’ll have to find another video to help me with that. I cut the cable last week and am just streaming and it’s been a nightmare. Primarily because the brand new LG remote does not work. Nor does the new log MAGIC remote. 😡😡😡

My remote worked for like 5 minutes then when I had to unplug the box to use roku again (which is bs) guy failed to tell me I guess I need a splitter of some kind? Who tf knows??? He left me with a bogus setup and now my remote doesn’t work so I can’t even use my volume
