    I have embroidered off and on for 60 years, haven’t done much in the last 20 or so years, so I’m refreshing my memory and learning some new stitches also. Thank you for the very clear and easily understood instructions. Back to practicing.

      Oh... Yes, stitching will help realise the difference better. Try them on curvy lines and straight.

    If you whip these stitches does it matter which way you go around them? Thinking clockwise or counter-clockwise.

      Hmm... I never thought about it, but I don't think it makes a difference. The whipping brings the layers together making it more concise on the sides - shouldn't matter which way you whip. I will try to explore more though.
