It's not a playground, it's a gym!

- Some people see a playground, I see a gym 🙂. More training for winter climbing. I often do 3-5 rounds of incline pullups, pushups, squats, go hard! Throw in whatever you feel you need more of from body tension (Front lever progression) to Tabata hangs, get stronger! Simple, effective, and you can do it anywhere.
That looks like so much fun, and great training! Thanks for sharing these videos Will.
I have trained at a baseball diamond field and used the fence haha. I call it urban ice-climbing training. I traverse the fence and clip quick draws and mimic leading. It is challenging due to the fence moving a bit. I live in the Kootenays and our ice doesn't form as quickly as the Rockies so I have to do something:) Thank you for sharing your tips Will!
Hahaha I thought I was a weirdo when doing figure 4s and 9s each time I go to the playground with my family! :D
Thanks for making me feel less solitary :D
Love this!!
This is amazing a gives me a whole new lease on taking my kids to the local playgrounds ty Mr Gadd
Excellent Tutorials! And keep them coming.
Thanks, will do!
Where can I buy those training ice tools? Any recommendations?
Furnace tools has a selection.
Hey Will, in lead up to this season I've been trying out dry tooling at my gym but all we have is a pretty easy route that's essentially a ladder. I've gotten it down but I feel like there's more that can be squeezed out of it. Are there strategies that can be used to train more effectively than just doing it over and over again like down-climbing or holding a position for a while?
If you can get away with it add weight, do bigger moves (skip holds), use one foot only, take your feet off every move and then place them, or if it's steep campus the odd move?
