Oh hell yes the Wild +4 rule. I once looked up the actual rules to Monopoly and forced my friends to play with 0 house rules so I'm absolutely the kind of person to vibe off of that.
Interestingly, monopoly with no house rules is like an hour long game and honestly superior

SO many house rules in monopoly give more money to the players. I mean the whole point is making your competition bankrupt, OF COURSE more money in play would mean the game would take longer! But does anyone listen? Nooo...and so Monopoly becomes the game no one ever finishes.

And as is probably pointed out all the time, that’s the point, Monopoly is intended to drag out and have one person snowball the others, just like IRL. I mean it’s there in the name.

I played God Monopoly with my 5 year old niece one time (we made it up).
Basically she plays the bank and we played as if she literally owned every single tile (we started with extra money) and we basically tried to wring back the control of the world from her with shady deals and dumb arguments (reminder she was 5).
Some of the most fun I've had playing a board game. Impossible with an adult though, cant beat a fully developed brain when they play as god.
( I say she was five, but I literally cannot tell the age of children and it's been a while, she could've been anywhere from 4 to 8 really)

And yes, Student Councils often do have the ability to implement moderate rules like banning certain things within reason, Japanese education systems really like to have political involvement/governance be Part of School, so the Student Council typically has some actual weight to the rules and standards rather than just being the five bozos stuck handling the bi-monthly fairs

My first exposure to Uno as a child was through some really strange old Windows variant called Hot Death Uno, which had a bunch of strange special cards, such as one which, when played forces everyone to place their hand face up, or a card that could be played as either a 6 or a 9, Yes, it's exactly what you think it is. That sort of shenaniganry seems very in the spirit of anime.

Oh great, they actually have the point system in the game, if it didn't I'd be super surprised. The points system in a group setting actually makes holding all your special cards a possible issue, so you can actually be punished for hoarding. Removing points actually unbalances Uno quite a bit. Not that anyone really cares. Also draw forever is a better rule than stacking, anyone can fight me on that.

With Draw 2/Draw 4 stacking, I kinda look at it from the reverse position to you. I like the stacking because it means that you do have a way out if you're the one who gets stuck in the kill combo. It can also lead to some funny collusion where one person has to draw a stupid amount of cards because everyone stacked. Then again, I don't play Uno all that much so maybe my filthy casual perspective is flawed somehow. It's honestly the most I've ever thought about the Uno rules.

When I was in college, we came up with "Drinking Rules" for Uno.
It's actually surprisingly easy to adapt Uno into a drinking game. Any time it would have been your turn to place a card but another Player's turn denies this, you drink. If someone plays a Draw 2 or Draw 4 on you, you must also take that many drinks. If another player changes the color and you can't play, you drink.
You basically have to take a drink unless you can play a card.

Draw 2 stacking rule works better in a group setting than a 1 v 1 setting.
In a group setting you can get sent straight to the shadow realm if you misplay your draw 2 by everyones cumulative stack. Adding a little layer of strategy on the order what kind of cards you play.
In a 1 v 1 it’s usually the person who has the most draw 2 stacked that wins. More like a stand off to see who plays first.
I have experience playing Uno during homeroom throughout my whole high school experience, so I know a whole lot. I think we combined two packs together lol. We also had 4+ card stacking which absolutely made it terrifying when it managed to loop back to you.

I can kinda see what they were trying to do with UNO PSX? There was a proliferation of TCG-based RPGs during that genre's boom, but unlike UNO there's actually a sense of progression and some skill in a TCG, even if all you do is play to earn more cards, the fact that you earn more cards build and/or upgrade decks creates that sense of progression. "Progression" in UNO is just how much torture you're forced to endure.

I feel draw 2 stacking in a 1v1 setting is pointless and just has you hold off on using the card as long as possible.
Meanwhile in a multi-person setting it can be used a bit more freely while also giving you a mean of defending yourself against the play.

I'd like to say that the giraffe is probably supposed to litterally be the number 6. Kinda how the number 4 looks like a flag. 11:27
If you flip it upside down I guess?

Ok you get 2 comments this video: FOURTY MINUTES. FOURTY MINUTES! That's longer than most, but not all, Ocotopath 1 late game bosses. That's the length I expect from a tactical jrpg like Fire Emblem or Devil Survivor. WHY. WHY?

I'll admit I scrolled down to comments as soon as the "end" happened and went back later like "wait why is the video still going with this BOP" and found the editing gag, was worth rewinding for xD
I don't have Deep Thoughts over Draw Stacking, other than it's a nice way to change things up if you for some reason play enough Uno you get bored of it and need that. But, stacking 2s is allowed, 4s is allowed, 4s on 2s is allowed, but no 2s on 4s. If we're doing it, escalation is allowed but not deescalation, that's my usual ruleset when done, just cause it breeds chaotic energy. I'm no game designer, I'm here to break shit

Oh and i did once play SOME Uno game with +4 challenging, but it never EXPLAINED what it was, or why it was there or how it worked, so I knew it was a mechanic, but in the most arcane sense of not having even a smidge of a clue what made it work or not on any random given challenge
(and yes i'm adding another comment, cause iunno, more YT Algorithm engagement fueling??)

people should know what uno is, it did come with their xbox after all...
actually got very used to the house ruleset, was just in the prime age range for the glory days of Xbox 360 Uno. If theres a version of uno that exists where it automatically calls uno when you have one card i don't wanna hear it, it's wrong!
these are sick versions of uno. all video game adaptations of board/card games should embrace the medium
