MTG Historic is being overrun with Boros Energy decks. Jeskai control has a bunch of powerful tools to combat it however. This video we try out a lotus field / strict proctor / stifle deck that can ramp heavily while heavily taxing the ETB effects of the deck. You don't have to worry about phlage being sacrificed nor nulldrifter with a proctor out. Energy cards provide utility and enable wrath of the skies to be a 2 mana sweeper.

Awesome, I loved this deck back when Proctor was released! Lots of Discontinuity to skip their turns on their upkeep. This update looks excellent, thanks for the video!

Glad to see my first MH3 deck is reasonable, saw someone 7-0 the Metagame Challenge with a similar list.
Your final thoughts are exactly how i ended up going with the deck eventually, except i play Three Steps Ahead instead of Charm, it can discard Phlage and is better with the mana Lotus gives you. Nulldrifer is a bit of a scam imo.
did you make it into the Qualifier this weekend? Are you running this?

@@MTGJoe i'd probably go with Boros Energy too, although i think the Thopters version Is favored in most Mirrors
don't forget they just printed a better stifle (cosign to memory) its like a swansong kinda too...but ultimately it has counter target colorless spell which answers one ring as well so you get a ton of options.
consign is only triggers and not activated abilities so stifle is a bit more flexible. If colorless becomes more of a think I would swap. In modern it is played against tron

Do you have any good deck recommendations for historic reanimator?
Haven’t found one yet. Going to try out a mardu pile and see how it does. Think it’s more a bo1 than bo3 deck if it exists
im on jeskai black solar flare. ive even got a really good variant for standard. gameplan is use ill timed explosion as a boardwipe and discard outlet for phyrexian portal or one with the multiverse and then campus renovation or battle of tolvaria in order to get the portal or multiverse....in historic youd probably want omniscience but there are tons of good targets.... another great reanimation target is threefold thunderhulk especially with abuelos awakening bc awakening makes it a 1/1 then you put 3 counters on it for the etb and it will make 4 constructs but if you have th mana to pump into awakening then you get this huge board of tokens with the thunderhulk.
