I have always, always loved her! Ever since I was a little boy I admired her and would stare at the TV in amazement. Just mesmerized! She has always inspired me and continues to inspire me! From surviving abuse as a child, losing her parents at 21, having to then take care of her 3 younger siblings, breaking into the industry - a fearless woman in country music during the 90’s… I remember how scandalous she was then! Losing her voice due to Lymes Disease, going through a divorce after her husband, and producer, of almost 20 years cheated on her w her best friend… she’s risen above all that and continues to be an absolutely bad ass, fearless, classy, sassy woman! ❤️❤️❤️

I’m glad celebrities are speaking out about being abused as minors. It puts into perspective all of the ridiculous whining about every negative experience their peers crumble under, as adults with money and power. It would be bi e if nobody in the world were a jerk, but we need to keep the focus on the truly vulnerable among us who suffer horrifying and long term harm and oppression.

My mom and my aunts were sexually abused by men my grandmother had married. I didn’t know this growing up, but learned and began to under why my mom chose to be a single mom, so I would never go through what she went through. That still doesn’t impact me, as this made her emotional neglectful, and how her fears were ingrained into me. Like, this abuse can affect generations of families. Still makes me so incredibly angry when I hear about it. People need to speak up so the abusers can be off our streets.

    I have always had so
much respect for her. When parents killed in a car accident, she came back from Canada (her career was taking off), she went home to raise her siblings till they all graduated. She said they starved at times and so at every town she used to tour in, she would donate to their food bank.🥰

Why is it that rape and sexual abuse in general just seems to be a right of passage? I hate this exploitation but so many people now opening up have had that experience often with someone they should be able to trust. #metoo❤💯Shania

I know exactly how she feels and felt. My mother couldn’t understand why I would always try to burry my body in mens clothes. When you’re stuck in the house with your brothers who are the perpetrators. She would try to make me more of a target by trying to buy me sexy babydoll pajamas and tiny bikini underwear. When you’ve been sexually abused you don’t want to make yourself anymore of a target than you already are and my mother would just criticize me for dressing like a man. I know I should have been able to dress like a girl but that shipped sailed after my brothers sexually molested me.
I ironically, after I moved out at 18, I did model and do film work but inside of me there’s always the fear that I was going to get raped, assaulted, sexually molested, which wasn’t unfounded because for women, we suffer those situations on a daily bases in you work in any job where you might dress like a female.
Anyway, I am happy that there are cross dressing men, transgender men/people, and drag queens, maybe some a$$h@// will get a surprise trying to man handle a woman who might be stronger than they expect. Hopefully in some way that will make men think twice about trying to assault a woman.

No, you don't know EXACTLY how she felt. How could you ? HER experience was HER experience, the same as YOURS was YOURS. Try to think before you comment.

@@johnfd0210its a figure of speech. When people strongly relate to others, some people say "i know exactly how you feel!" It might not be the "exact" situation or circumstances its a connection that happens when people heard other people's stories and relate or emphasize with it.

I am on SSDI/SSI early retirement after a 30 year career in customer service. My diagnosis is CPTSD from early childhood abuse for being female. It continued as an adult, the visual rapes, the stalkers (currently volunteering and there's a stalker!). I also attracted a husband who did me like how Mutt did Shania. This is just the way of the world. I understand why Shania shut down completely and am happy to see her coming back to life. I hope I can revive and relive again one day.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you can learn to cope with it all and find your happiness. Please mention the stalker to your supervisor. It's wrong what he's doing and someone should back you up.

@@fluffylittleclouds1 I'm already on SSDI/SSI early retirement because of the stalker at my paid position. That's why I volunteer at this church thrift store. The pastor and his wife are very aware of my reality and have told me to just hang out in the back when he shows up. That's why I retired. I couldn't be paid to run a cash register and then hide in the back for random hours during my shift. So everyone at the church is praying for me and that's all that can be done. I will end up quitting eventually, but not until I shoot him with my taser. That's how this round will end. I will tase him and then turn to the pastor's wife and say - I'm never coming back!

How would you ever describe a man who sexually abused you as a child as a supportive and loving man.

  • @bethelle9099

The first natural inclination is to eat. The second natural drive or inclination is sexual. Sometimes I have thought that maybe men should have a house next door to the wife and daughters instead of cohabitating with them. If people are given a wholesome and productive childhood and beyond, it helps to keep things on a wholesome channel. But hormones, well........Now a days, what is even considered appropriate? Lines are very blurred. Answering to a higher power helps in how people conduct themselves, but it all takes conscious effort.

@@papichulo811 You are CORRECT! I read her book as well, the book mentioned her step father groped her breast while she was taking a nap, Shania woke up and her step dad walked away. That was all she said in the book. I have read a lot about Shania this is the first I’ve heard of sexual abuse. 🥹 poor thing her life was hard enough without the burden of getting abused

The best strategy to use in trading is to trade a
professional who understands the market quite well,
that way maximum profit is guaranteed. Because I
have learned along the way of my investment that
research and analysis are important, note that
experience is more needed, than luck when it comes
      to the financial market.

the way I moved fro an average lifestyle to earning
over $62k per month, utter shock is the word. I have
understood a lot in the past few years to doubt that
opportunities abound in the financial markets, The
only thing is to know where to focus.
