Recommended by One Life! Never too many sailing videos. Goodness knows why that at 65 I’ve taken an interest in something I’ve never done. Living my life vicariously through all of you guys. Make it a good one Max! Thanks!
Max, I am very inspired by you and your crew. I have struggled with alcohol for a large chunk of my life and it incredibly motivating to see how much fun you have without drinking! Thanks for everything and hope to see you cruising soon!
Thankyou! I am 2.5 years sober, and honestly it’s been one of the best destinations I’ve ever made. We have a lot of fun without alcohol on Elixir, the key is to surround yourself with people who don’t need alcohol to have fun
congratulations on a great crossing. 23 days… I have watched a few channels that have made that crossing and I don’t think I have seen one that quick. I absolutely love your spirit Max and today I learned that you are sober! That is icing on the cake right there. 2/25/1991 is my sobriety birthday. Much love to you and the whole of the crew!
Awesome.hope I get my boat ready for this before may.i do have one question.worst weather on way in wave height.only thing I worry about is if I get my catalina 34 ready in time next spring.
Amazing video! I noticed you still had the main sail up at the end when you were pulling into the anchorage. How do you stop in that situation? Were you coming in close hauled and able to turn into the dead zone or did you just dump the anchor?

Chloe's reaction to baked beans is the most hilarious, and most British thing ever 😂

I usually take the main down at anchor as it’s more controlled, it also helps keeping the boat pointing into the wind!
