- Here we are doing some spring discing with our John Deere 6420 and Case IH 3800 disc. The disc is a 21 foot disc, and it matches well with the 6420 in size and power requirements. They do a good job together! On our farm, we primarily use this combination as a first pass option, when going over a field with just the Landoll 7410 isn't going to work well (for more on that, check out our video on how we use the Landoll 7410 on our farm: • John Deere 4055 And La... ).

Need moor speed disk is a little big for the 6420. I pull a 18 foot sunflower and she works
6420 is the 4020 of new good tractors
+Scott Marteeny That they are!
I use a 6415 to rake hay...never tried it on my 22' 635 disk :)
What speed do you operate at when tilling with this disc?
I believe we were going around 4 MPH? Definitely no faster than 4.5.
Farm Grown, Country Strong on UA-cam thanks, love watching your videos! Reminds me of the days when I was young being around the local farms
Brian Garner Thanks for watching!
What is the difference between a 6400 and a 6420 ?
A John Deere 6400 and 6420 are pretty similar, but the 6420 is a few years newer and has a little more horsepower. Otherwise I believe they have the same engine and a lot of other similarities.
