I was shoulder to shoulder with Tom Cruise when I was an extra on 'War of the Worlds,' and I had never found him terribly attractive until then. I damn near turned into a puddle right in front of him.
Clyde Drake There are such a thing as having different opinions about different character traits you know. Like; Tom Cruise is probably a nice guy on set, makes good action and so on.... and then it’s the selfobsessed nut who hasn’t seen his daughter in a couple of years. But perhaps that’s not important.
It's not like he doesn't want to see her daughter. But Scientology forbids him, and he's dedicated 30 years of his life to it so it's an impossibly hard situation for him.
Tom Cruise is a very important and central figure in Scientology. Google "Scientology crimes" and you'll know why something is extremely fishy with all this unabashed adoration of the guy in shows like this. He participates in organized crime fgs
It's often intentional, which is what makes it funny for most people. Kind of like self-insulting humor, what Conan often does but in a different way ("Oh, I'm so pale! I'm so irish!"). It's their sarcastic tone and once you realize Simon Pegg's (and someone like Ricky Gervais') style of humor it can get quite hilarious.
"Plus we have a sense of humour...." Oh boy. British humor. "Last night me girlfriend 'n I watched 3 DVDs back to back. Luckily I was the one facing the telly!"
Pegg was actually the second choice for Benji, the first being Ricky Gervais who was cast in that role but because their pre-production overran, he had scheduling conflicts.
It's become fashionable to hate on Tom Cruise because of his beliefs. So what if his beliefs differ from those who believe that a big man in the sky blessed Americans with an over-abundance of food, whilst starving orphan children in Ethiopia? Each to their own I say.
+Kieron Evans His religion doesn't make him a bad person, but the fact that he condones the terrible things that happen inside scientology does. He's not the victim if he's actively participating in the confirmed misdeeds of scientologists. Watch the documentary Going Clear if you want the full story and don't take me on my word for it. Again, it's not about his religious beliefs, it's about his actions. Don't judge people for who they are, but for their actions.
Scientology has labor camps, condones physical abuse, blackmails people etc. You don't get to be friends with the head of scientology and not know about it. I guess he gets blackmailed with the tapes from his auditings.
What are talking about? 70% of americans are christians, and Christian gods are Jesus and Yahwee, and their chosen people are jews, not americans. And the holy land, according to Bible, is Israel, not USA. Anyway, USA didnt even exist at the time when both old and new testaments were written, so it has absolutely nothing to do with it
@@IGameChangerI I don't think it's his actions but more like lack thereof. He hasn't been proven to have done anything bad himself but he's still associated with the cult and people expect him to leave or publicly condemn Scienotlogy. I believe it's unfair to blame Cruise for actions of other Scientologists.
in the UK we have a thing called the NHS. which is paid for by our taxes. so that means if something goes wrong and you end up in hospital or have surgery, we dont pay for it.
Geoffrey Barbara Butler is a fictional character from the popular sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air". The actor who plays this character (Joseph Marcell) was born on the island Saint Lucia, a British overseas territory, so technically he is black British. But this is all besides the point, I was just being sarcastic in my original comment.
When I said you were being naive, I wasn't referring to the obviously sarcastic claim that there aren't any black British people; but to the fact that you felt the need to respond (sarcastically) to a comment that, not only was a joke, wasn't even about the existence of black British people, but about how people may perceive racial debates as concerning exclusively blacks. You get it? Instead of saying "it's not racist because British is not a race", he said "British people aren't black".
We do.... Also ask yourself how many people in the states have gone bankrupt because they got sick. Then ask yourself how many people in the UK have done the same...
He immediately touts that they are ahead in healthcare, which they are, implying that it, unlike human rights, was a win for them. For comparisons you can search Human Rights in the United Kingdom and Human Rights in the United States.
You OBVIOUSLY did not read my other posts in which I clarified that I was talking about Brits being interviewed. I have enjoyed both Sean of the Dead and Paul, as well as their work in other movies, particularly Simon's....still a boring interview....most brits are...hehehehe.
They just don't like hearing something bad said against the USA you are in a young country that gets shitty if you hear anything bad said against it - we are in an established country and feel confident enough to take any shit any country may say about us and will gladly say about ourselves. if you get ill in the us and have what no cash what is the outcome? is there any help? The NHS rules - health care for the masses all over europe as well - us=$
Actually, I was referring to Brits in interviews. In almost every one I have seen they come across as dull and boring interviewees, particularly if interviewed by someone from England...or even the U.K....generally speaking.
I take offence at being called boring. As with any country there will always be a number of snobs, racists or in this case boring people but as a whole British culture is so much more exciting than most countries. Plus we have a sense of humour that you can't teach, you just have it because we British can make fun of ourselves and we aren't over sensitive like many other countries, the US included.
"For you, camera 3" is quite hilarious and went completely unnoticed
The audience was too dumb to notice
I love you Simon pegg stay awesome

Tom Cruise is the best and nicest actor to work with in Hollywood, bar none. True professional.
Ehh something seems off about him

He’s also completely unhinged.
If you take away Scientology then everyone gonna love him

Tom always goes the extra mile in putting the hardwork in his movies for the fans😍🎥One of the Greatest movie star if not the best of all time
Behind on human rights but ahead on health-care, he was right on both counts. I love when British people go on these talk shows.
What human rights are Britain behind in, relative to the US?
DispleasedEskimo Why are the british behind on human rights? ;)
+Marmalada180 gay marriage was legalised in the UK a long time before the USA.
Not quite sure about the human rights thing but our health care is definitely better
UK is a way better than USA in Human rights and many other things.

I do quite honestly believe that, Simon Pegg, is indeed, a very awesome individual.
The open admission to how good looking a fellow male is.
This guy...LOL I love him. I hope he continues to make more movies.
Pegg was actually the second choice for Benji, the first being Ricky Gervais who was cast in that role but because their pre-production overran, he had scheduling conflicts.

Benji is adorkable -.-
I don't care if he denies it, I KNOW he found a Willy Wonka Ticket to Hollywood.
It's only right that Hollywood casts a british actor for _their_ version of James Bond.

I also enjoy Jimmy Carr. Funniest comedian ever for dealing with hecklers.
I was just quoting from the Channel 4 sitcom, Father Ted. :3
I know! I was so confused he's being HILARIOUS.
simon pegg is awesome
He sure did. But I'm an American and I don't know if he was joking or being serious because I have no idea about the state of human rights in Britain.

Behind the US in Human Rights? We signed the Universal Bill of Human Rights, the US still refrains from adding their signature.
