Inégalables talentueux Tuba Skinny . La simplicité et la sympathique authenticité sont sœurs de réels talents reconnus aux quatre coins de la planète pour les artistes de Tuba Skinny . L’excellence au coin de la rue !
Thanks Randy for this Valentine's Day surprise. Loved the traveling piano man's solo which fit right in on this song. Great job by Greg and all the gang! ❤😊👍
Nothing like a little hot jazz to warm the soul on a cold winter's night. I bought the EP and put it on my thumb drive and now I have a pocket warmer. :-)
Many thanks, Randy. Like 'Hard Pushin' Papa', also played in this set, it's in the 12-bar blues format - probably chosen to enable The Travelling Pianist to join in easily with both tunes. 'Hard Pushin' Papa' was in the key of G; but 'You Got Me Rollin', Mama' is in F.
Thanks for this perceptive observation, James! We quite often come across two 'different' 12-bar blues which are virtually identical in chord progression and melody, if not in words. I suppose that was inevitable with such a basic musical form. By the way, you have reminded me that Tuba Skinny themselves also have 'Hear Me Talking To You' in their repertoire. Erika used to sing it a lot in the early days, e.g. ua-cam.com/video/zMsgz4wHWF4/v-deo.html
How do they do this? I play blues harp and can't imagine how I could play when cold! And I am in Rhode Island, no stranger to cold, just to playing in it!
It wasn't that cold there. Note the audience member in shorts @ 3:35. Winter nights in New Orleans rarely get below 40F. According to AccuWeather, the overnight low was about 50F that night.
Tuba Skinny, for me the best traditional Band from New Orleans (or from the World??) with the famous Lady Shay Cohn 👏👏🇺🇸🇩🇪
Super Bowl's on TV. Who cares? Tuba Skinny's on the sidewalk! Man, you gotta love New Orleans.
Oh, what a winter!
Great singing by Greg. 🙂 👍

Yay for the dancers! No wonder the band are all dressed up against the cold when they're *outside* the hotel. More great stuff.

Besides the great music, socially spaced, good.
Looks cold there, luckily the music warms up the spirit!

Pops, isn't this the same tune as "Hear Me Talkin' To You" as recorded by Ma Rainey?

Love it but, where is Erica?
OK. I'll trade Shaye half of my 30 year aviator career for 10% of her music career.
Beautifull, but I miss Erica.
