But then suddenly, Kennedy was gone, Johnson was president, and those investigations were swept under the rug. Unlike Trump, Johnson was actually GOOD at that kind of thing.
I like my Presidents to not constantly be on trial for crimes they definitely committed.

If Trump is convicted, most courts would allow him to remain free pending appeals on the weighty constitutional and evidentiary issues raised by the Georgia case. That process could easily take a couple of years.
An innocent person will quietly go to court, and let justice take its course. A guilty person will fight to stop the trial, and obstruct it in any way possible.

I have a small wager with my friends that Trump will attempt a diminished capacity defense at some point. Basically going for the "not guilty by reason of metal disease or defect" ruling. Their evidence will be all of Trumps tweets and Trump Social posts. Being used as proof their client is insane.
