May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

I’ve had four of these units now. They are very consistent in their performance, in the sense that EVERY one of them has failed once they get to approximately a year old. I just found this video since I came here searching, trying to troubleshoot the fourth unit, which is now performing erratically. Yes, regular maintenance and cleaning has been performed on them according to instructions in the owner’s manual so, it’s not an issue of neglect. I’m limited in my physical ability to move these units, or I would try a different brand. I’ve purchased all of mine from Lowe’s, only because they are literally, just around the corner from my house. If you are looking for a good, reliable, lasting portable air-conditioner, I’d highly recommend you avoid this brand. They are expensive, giving the impression that they are of high quality but, they are actually extremely lacking in quality. Very disappointing.
Just bought mine from Costco for $299 on Juneteenth. I hope it lasts at least 4 years. My Everstar has been running at least 15 years but it is starting to make funny noises.
@@Macadamia923 good luck with that I just bought mine yesterday trying to work it all day today all it does is blow out hot air hotter than a box fan this is the worst purchase I think I’ve ever made no one to get any help from they’re closed on Fourth of July it’s bloody hot 90° inside the house one minute it feels like it’s slightly cooler that comes out and less than a minute later it’s just a hot fan blowing it won’t stay on 61° it jumps back to 75 I’ve tried everything it’s a piece of junk too heavy to carry in and out up and down it’s a nightmare and I figure in an elevated beach type home I would just put in window units and be done with this nightmare all this till I get a split unit with someone qualified enough to put one in there’s so many charlatans running around so I thought this was temporary but it’s worse than a box fan‼‼‼
Had one for three years, and right outside of the two year warranty window the unit failed as the unit lost all of its refrigerant from a leak. Threw it out and bought a Frigidaire unit.
Anyone know what the +\- numbers mean on the remote when in dry mode? If you press the up/down, numbers appear, and I can’t seem to find anything on what they mean for that setting mode.
They are ignored in dry mode. You will see a "1" or "-1" if you've selected an offset. Older units had the offset. They did not use swing even though it was on the remote.

Mine keeps turning off after setting it. It runs for 5 minutes than shuts off and will not come back on. I have it set at 73 degrees. I just bought it 3 days ago. What’s up?
My air conditioner keeps dripping off every 2 minutes and never cools down the room. I clean the coils. I change the plug-in and nothing seems to work. What can I do?
Does anyone know if there is a way to do a master reset, like pressing certain buttons in a series, or anything to just do a full reset? The air-conditioner is currently acting very erratic, powering on and off and changing the mode and temperature settings, on its own. I have removed the batteries from the remote to ensure the problem is not a malfunctioning remote control.
Relays stick, capacitors go bad, gases leak, coils corrode, and switch floats act up. I had an older model that ran full time. It got to where even on a super dry day, you get E5 errors. It didn't cool that well anymore even with all the filters washed. I think I got around 6 years use out of it. Bought a new one today. New models turn off when idle.
Just got one and it sucks!!! Can’t connect it to my phone, or google home! Is there a hard reset button?? I’m a 20 year old very tech savvy person and this doesn’t want to work
I just purchased the ac 10tw. -r. The remote doesn't communicate with the AC. I exchanged the remote and still same issue. Is there a way to reset the AC to repair with the remote?

I find that it shuts on and off throughout the night and it wakes me up ... how do you make it run continuously?

Had mines for about 4 yrs and haven't had any issues. Routine draining and wiping filters down.

My drain is literally at the bottom making it touch the ground when emptying. It’s annoying as hell

Yeah, these things draw a lot when the compressor kicks in. It'll flicker the lights. Needs to be on a motor start breaker for best performance.

You may have it in dimmer (night) mode. Press dimmer on the remote. They should light back up.

Press and hold the dimmer button for about 5 seconds to set it to sleep mode. It will keep running, but without any lights.

I don't think you can. Older units ran full time to dry the coils. Newer ones turn off in stand-by mode once the cooling coils are dry.
