How do you know when to replace the cartridge?

All you should really need to do is wipe them down with Lysol and soak them in clean warm water

How do you remove the cartridge without breaking it?

@@LouisBorne I figured out almost all of them can be twisted off, I was initially wary of trying too much and breaking it if I was wrong.

I'm still trying to figure this out... Do you just twist really hard?

@@OpenBarGarage hey man, you figure it out yet? If y, all you should have to do is put one hand inside your mask let’s say your palm right behind the filter to brace it, take your other hand and push down slightly on the outside of your filter/cartridge and turn counter clockwise/left, if it still doesn’t budge and seems like it’s fixed in place you may have the non removable however like my mask from harbor freight all ya have to do is remove the round silicone disk thing on the inside of the mask behind the the filter, (mine is black)now if you look at how the filter is connected from the inside, you may have 4 tabs that hold the mask
on but just used a small flathead screw driver to pry in between the tabs and eventually you pop it off
